Who we are
LIFT UK is a grant giving foundation and UK registered charity no. 1147360. Our main objectives are:

To support organisations who work with vulnerable communities

To advance education and vocational training in vulnerable communities

To help relieve poverty, sickness and to promote wellbeing and health of vulnerable communities

To focus on the plight of vulnerable children
LIFT UK exclusively supports Uganda Hands for Hope (UHfH), a registered NGO based in Kampala, Uganda. They support the most vulnerable children and their families living in Namuwongo slum, Kampala, working with them to reduce poverty and meet their basic needs in the areas of education, health, nutrition and social care and alternative education/livelihoods.
Our culture and values
LIFT UK/Uganda Hands for Hope is at an important stage of its organisational development and has grown in recent years, both in size and complexity of our finances. While financial matters are the responsibility of all trustees, LIFT UK’s Treasurer will be instrumental in guiding the UHfH management team and other LIFT UK Trustees with advice, guidance, and reassurance on all aspects of the charity’s financial management and reporting and controls. We are seeking a driven and passionate individual to join the Board, initially as an Ordinary Trustee with an eye to taking over the Treasurer role upon completion of induction and handover.
