Who we are

Working at The Hospice of St Francis

We have an enthusiastic and committed staff team who are passionate about delivering good end of life care for local people. Vacancies arise in both our clinical, fundraising and support teams throughout the year and we welcome applications from anyone interested in using their experience to benefit our charity. In particular, we are always looking for registered nurses looking for a fulfilling career in a supportive organisation.

Whilst working for the Hospice of St Francis employees are entitled to a range of benefits:

Salary – Competitive salaries which take account of NHS salaries.

Pension – The Hospice of St Francis offers its employees either a non-contributory pension scheme, fully stakeholder compliant or the opportunity to join the NHS pension scheme if they are are existing members and meet the qualifying criteria. Bank staff can join the NEST pension if meeting the qualifying criteria.

Life Assurance Cover – Those employees who are members of the pension schemes are also eligible for the life assurance scheme.

Private Medical Insurance Cover – Having healthy employees is important to us, therefore we provide access to a Private Medical/Healthcare Scheme through a preferred supplier at a reduced rate. This scheme includes check-ups, treatment and emergencies if you need it.

Annual Leave – Employees are entitled to a generous holiday entitlement which increases with length of service.
