About us
Who we are
The Ealy Years Alliance is the largest and most representative early years membership organisation in England.
A registered educational charity, we represent 14,000 members and support them to deliver care and learning to over 800,000 families every year.
- We offer information and advice.
- We produce specialist publications.
- We run acclaimed training schemes.
- We campaign to influence early years policy and practice.
Our vision is a society where every child enjoys the opportunity to learn through play. We believe families should be at the centre of policy-making and empowered to become fully involved with their child's learning and development.
Our mission is to support early years providers to deliver high quality, affordable and sustainable care and learning to families, and to ensure that all children, regardless of background, are given the best possible start in life.
Our culture and values
We strive every day to create better futures for children and families, to be experts in early childhood, to be the voice of the early years, drive change for a stable future for our children, and to be collectively responsible for each other’s wellbeing.
This runs right through our culture within the organisation where we ensure our staff are just as valued and championed, providing high-quality services, training, information and advice.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
The Alliance aims to employ the best possible staff and intends to offer equality of opportunity by ensuring that no person is disadvantaged or discriminated against in seeking employment, or for any other reason during their employment with us.
Candidates will be considered on the basis of their suitability for the post, and our recruitment procedures work in line with the Equality Act 2010. Individuals will not be placed at a disadvantage by imposing conditions or requirements which are not justifiable.
We welcome applications from all sections of the community and value the individual differences that people can bring to our organisation.
The Alliance expects all successful candidates to support our diversity and equality policy and must have an understanding of and commitment to equality of opportunity and anti-racism issues.
The Alliance has signed up as a Disability Confident Committed Employer. We have committed to ensuring that our recruitment process is inclusive and assessible and offer an interview to disabled candidates who meet the minimum criteria for the role.
