About us

Who we are

CWRC is a welcoming and accessible women’s community space on Sturton Street. We offer creative activities and general support, with educational courses, group activities and individual support services, helping to encourage and empower women taking steps for a better future. We also run the Freedom Programme for women who have been affected by domestic abuse.

Out work falls into three main catagories:

  • Personalised Support: CWRC can support women with housing advice, access to grants and funds, employment and educaction, benefits advice and emotional support. We listen without judgement, provide information and offer a calm space where women are heard.

  • Group activities: CWRC provides a range of group activities, often focused on wellbeing and creativity.

  • Support for women with criminal justice contact: We work with women who have had contact with criminal justice system to provide holistic support.
