About us

Who we are

Become is here to make a difference to individual lives right now, and the care system as a whole for future generations. Since 1992 we’ve been working to improve the everyday lives and future life chances of young people who are unable to live with their birth families.

 

Our mission is to provide help, support and advice to children in care and young care leavers so that they can take control of their lives and unleash their potential. Contained within these young people is a world of potential. Each one has dreams, hopes and unique abilities. We help them to move towards becoming the person they are meant to be - towards a life well lived.

We are a working-from-home organisation, with all staff based at home with some travel to a shared office space in central London.

Starting at 28 days (plus Bank Holidays), rising to 31 days after 3 years' service and 33 days after 5 years' service.

12 weeks at full pay, followed by 27 weeks paid at Statutory Maternity Pay. We also offer 4 weeks full pay and 2 weeks half pay for Paternity Leave.
