This is an excellent opportunity to take on an exciting role within the Humanitarian Team of the Programme & Policy Department/Programme Management Team.

We are looking for someone with a good understanding of policies and practices managing projects with the FCDO and DEC. A good grasp of programme and financial management combined with an ability to provide distance support to Country Offices and partners.

The Humanitarian Programme Manager is responsible for the overall management for a portfolio of programmes across the programme management lifecycle from the contracting stage to close out. The successful candidate leads the relationship with donors, working with country offices and technical teams to ensure programmes are delivered in line with CARE International strategies and procedures, and in compliance with donor requirements. Specific areas of responsibilities include programme quality, accountability, relationship management, impact reporting and knowledge management, compliance and risk management. In addition, he/she will be an effective team member and committed to tackling discrimination and structural inequality and promoting CARE International’s Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and Child Protection policy with team members and in day-to-day practice.

About you

The team is looking for a talented individual to support our portfolio projects through excellent contract and finance management.  You will have knowledge of donor compliance and donor reporting and will provide integrated programme delivery, contract, and compliance expertise throughout the project cycle: from implementation plan set up to reporting and close out. You will have experience with managing multiple stakeholders across a single project. Ability to work in French or Arabic, as well as some overseas experience in a development context, would also be highly desirable.

The Role

As the Remote Services Development Lead, you will play a crucial role in leading and developing GamCare's remote services, ensuring seamless delivery across multiple platforms including telephone, live chat, WhatsApp, and video. Summary of position​​

Art Explora is looking for an experienced Community Programme Manager with a passion for arts engagement and cultural outreach to manage and build our innovative Community Programme for Art Explora in the UK. ​​

The Community Programme Manager will lead on and develop Art Explora’s key community programme streams – Arts at Home, Theatre at Home, Music at Home, Mini Art Explorers and Art Explorers at..., and manage Art Explora UK’s growing volunteer community. The Community Programme Manager will explore ways to expand the content for this programme though new partnerships with museums, galleries and other cultural institutions, as well as expand the programme into more care homes and other care settings, such as hospitals, across the UK.  ​

The Community Programme Manager will manage Art Explora’s growing pool of 140+ volunteers. They will ensure that Art Explora has a comprehensive and supportive volunteer offer. They will review our current volunteer recruitment processes and policies, safeguarding and training procedures, and ensure we meet the highest standards for working with volunteers. ​​

The volunteer community is key to Art Explora’s strategy for scaling up arts engagement in the UK. About the role​

The Community Programme Manager will bring their own experience and knowledge of outstanding community programming to build on and expand the current programme. The Community Programme Manager will manage partnerships with key stakeholders and develop new relationships with a variety of partners, from cultural institutions to new care settings. ​​​

The Community Programme Manager is a pivotal position within the small, dedicated and growing Art Explora team in the UK. The Community Programme Manager will be supported by a Community Programme Assistant and the volunteer community. We are looking for a candidate with management experience.  ​​

To achieve this, the chosen candidate will not only have a passion for arts outreach and engagement, but will also have a proven track record in project management, managing volunteers, excellent organisation and communications skills, and be experienced in building relationships at all levels – with community organisations such as care homes, volunteers, local authorities, content and delivery partners, senior stakeholders, collaborators and supporters. ​

Person Specification​​

Essential skills and experience ​

• At least 5 years’ experience delivering arts and cultural outreach programmes, for example within an education and engagement team for an arts organisation, or working directly with community organisations or within the care sector​

• Proven experience of volunteer management including recruitment, training, logistics and personnel management​

• A good knowledge of arts engagement practice in the UK and leading organisations in this field ​

• A proven track record of budget management and event coordination​

• Some experience of fundraising from public sector, trusts and foundations​

• A confident communicator (oral and writing), with an enthusiasm for building creative partnerships and capable of working with a wide range of senior stakeholders and partners ​

• A good knowledge of cultural policies and current cultural engagement landscape​

• Experience of implementing EDI policies and good practice, with passion for driving EDI related change in the arts and cultural sector

A specialist Arts University based in central London is seeking an IT Support Manager for a full-time permanent role. The organisation is a prestigious arts focused University with around 600 students. They have two sites – one being the main teaching campus near Kings Cross, the other an art gallery with some teaching capacity, on the Strand.

The role is paying a starting salary of £50,942 per annum plus an excellent package including a leading pension and 36 days annual leave. The role will be based onsite predominantly at the Kings Cross site – working from home 1 day per week may be considered.

Reporting to the Head of Information Services, Systems & Technology (ISS&T)  and working in a small IT team of around 5 people, this role line manages 1 IT Support Officer and takes the lead on the service delivery aspects of the IT team. This covers frontline user support and managing the daily operations of the IT function. The organisation predominantly deploy Windows devices, but they have an increasing number of MACs so experience of supporting IOS would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will come from an IT Support/Manager background, should have experience managing small teams, and should have a strong user focus and service delivery background. Experience from within the Higher Education, Arts, Charity, or Membership sector would be advantageous for the role. The role will also involve the development of a new asset management tool and leading on a telephony focused project.

The post holder will:

-Manage the Service Desk for both sites and the relationship with the 3rd party providers 
-Monitor and report on existing service to assist in developing the IT & AV Support Service 
-Provide professional and technical leadership and operational management to the IT Helpdesk team with a dotted line to the AV Support team
-Implement service standards and develop common systems and processes based on industry best practice.
-Ensure that the IT & AV Support Service is efficient, effective and can adapt to changing circumstances. 
-Work alongside the Project Manager and IT Operations Manager in the delivery of IT projects 
-Provide technical, project and administrative support to the Head of ISS&T

Candidate requirements:

-Degree level qualification and ITIL qualifications desirable 
-Recent proven experience of leading and developing an effective IT Support team and helpdesk service in a complex environment. Including setting targets, identifying training needs and delivering development plans
-Good technical knowledge of various hardware and software technologies including Windows, desktop PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers, MFDs, Microsoft OS, Mac OS, Microsoft Active Directory, M365, and Adobe.

The position will encompass a multifaceted approach, focusing on Policy & Advocacy, Community Collaboration & Empowerment, and Service Delivery Innovation.

The aim of ROTA’s housing project, funded by the Oak Foundation, is to examine the racial inequities that continue to plague the housing sector. Using a community-based peer research approach, we will put the lived experiences of Black and Global Majority communities who have been affected by insecure housing at the heart of this research, amplifying their voices through dedicated campaigning and advocacy.

We ultimately hope that the findings from this research can be used to formulate meaningful policy and influence practice to help end discriminatory practices in the housing sector.

Shift Pattern - 11-week rolling rota including weekends:

Early Shift: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm

Late Shift: 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm

Appointment Shift: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Length of Assignment: 6-8 weeks with potential extension

Location: 50-bed hostel in Lambeth

Pay: £14.40 + holiday pay = £16.14 per hour or £18.00 via umbrella company

Description:

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our social care client's team as Hostel Support Workers. This position involves providing vital support to individuals with complex needs, including substance misuse, mental health difficulties, and criminal justice issues. Our clients, both men and women, often come with their faithful companions, and we accommodate a few dogs in the hostel.

Responsibilities:

• Key-working and case management for a caseload of 5 to 10 clients.
• Providing individualised support and guidance to residents, addressing their specific needs and challenges.
• Facilitating group activities and workshops within the communal spaces.
• Conducting regular check-ins and assessments to monitor progress and ensure the well-being of residents.
• Collaborating with external agencies and resources to offer comprehensive support services.
• Signposting clients to relevant programs and resources for their personal development and empowerment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly those with complex needs.
• Strong understanding and sensitivity to issues related to substance misuse, mental health, and criminal justice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.  

Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. AAFDA’s prime function is to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.

As a growing charity, AAFDA is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our supportive team and lead our finance and resource management functions. The role will provide and manage the HR, administration and finance activities of the charity and sit within the Senior Leadership Team.

The Direct Marketing Manager, Retention, is a newly developed role at the DEC, responsible for shaping and delivering new and existing supporter journeys for DEC individual, community and legacy donors, and leading a programme of improvement across all major contact points between the DEC and the public.

The Direct Marketing Manager, Retention will:

• Contribute to and develop DEC direct marketing strategies, including the refreshing, implementation and analysis of the DEC’s segmentation, to maximise future income and continually improve the retention of individual supporters for future emergency appeals,
• Lead on the production of retention and reporting back materials for individual and community supporters,
• Manage the development and maintenance of specific supporter journeys,
• Develop and oversee the materials and supporter positioning for a light touch and mainly reactive legacy marketing programme for the DEC.

Key responsibilities include:

Strategy and Planning

• Develop and implement the direct marketing retention strategy, ensuring that past learnings are built upon, and new ideas are tested.
• Develop and implement specific audience journeys for segments across both the life cycle of a DEC appeal and between appeals.
• Ensure timely and relevant communications to all direct marketing, community, and legacy audiences on the impact of their donations.
• Build an improved supporter journey strategy for new, repeat, and lapsed donors.
• Lead, design, and monitor the collection of audience insight during appeals.

Fundraising

• Develop the DEC’s donor journeys for individuals and community supporters, monitoring the development of segments and the engagement of repeat donors.
• Provide analysis during and following an appeal of performance to measure and report performance against key indicators and develop recommendations for improving impact in the next appeal.
• Support the stewardship of community fundraisers and groups in conjunction with the Supporter Services team.

Networking and building relationships

• Develop excellent working relationships with the DEC’s suppliers including creative agencies, media agencies, SMS and email suppliers, and the print/mailing house.
• Work with permanent and temporary staff at the DEC during appeals to maximise the success of the appeal.

Human Practice Foundation (HPF) is searching for a UK Country Manager to join the team and further establish the organisation in this market. The charity’s mission is to work sustainably and holistically to build schools and bring 1,000,000 children into a safe and empowering educational environment, with a focus in Nepal and Kenya. 

The UK Country Manager will prioritise continuing the growth of the charity’s funds and will work with an existing network of trusts & foundations and philanthropic individuals, as well as continuing to spread HPF’s message.

Role purpose and dimensions:

• Design and implement a UK Fundraising Strategy, particularly aimed at foundations, institutions, corporates and High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI) in the UK, capable of delivering significant income growth over the next 3-5 years.
• Independently manage a portfolio of prospects and funders, as well as high level volunteers, with the capacity and propensity to give significant funds in support of HPF’s work. This will involve managing and meeting all application deadlines.
• Identify, research, qualify and manage a pipeline of funding prospects.
• Develop a range of funding proposals, pitches and appeals, to successfully solicit funds.
• Design and implement a donor cultivation and stewardship programme, including a combination of events, proposals, reporting, communications and visits.
• Network on behalf of the foundation, representing HPF at the highest levels and at a wide range of events, working with existing and developing new contacts to secure vital introductions.
• Oversee the governance of the UK operation, including all statutory reporting requirements.
• Regular narrative, financial and KPI reporting to the UK Board and to Copenhagen, including provision of board papers ahead of/ presentations at Board meetings.
• Contribute towards key global initiatives and projects, and lead on Foundations fundraising across HPF.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

• Senior fundraising professional with proven leadership skills and at least three-years’ experience in a not-for-profit organisation
• Strong track record of securing significant donations and grants from foundations and/or institutions (six-figures +). References will be required.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of delivering successful funding applications, proposals and pitches
• Self-starter, able to operate independently, whilst also able to engage meaningfully in virtual team working with other senior colleagues.
• A proactive networker, able to act as a spokesperson and ambassador for HPF at the highest levels.
• Experienced relationship manager, able to build and maintain relationships with funders, as well as experience working with senior staff, board members and volunteers to cultivate donors.
• Demonstrable experience of setting and achieving ambitious fundraising strategies and plans.
• Able to work at both a strategic and operational level.
• Experience of working closely with and reporting to Boards of Trustees.

Desirable

• Strong affinity with HPF mission, values and approach. 
• Track record of securing significant funds from corporates and HNWIs 
• Understanding of charity/fundraising legislation and codes of practice.
• Understanding of good governance processes and the role of charity Boards.

The context for this role: 

This new position, created to lead HPF’s mission in the UK, and lead Trust and Foundation fundraising efforts globally, is a fantastic opportunity for a self-starter to build on HPF’s success and grow its income from UK and international foundations, institutions and corporations, as well as UK-based high net worth individuals. 

HPF seeks a highly motivated, experienced and successful fundraising professional with the vision and skills to develop and deliver a new three-year fundraising strategy, taking UK income from £270k per annum to £500k+. For this varied and busy role of Events Manager we are looking for an enthusiastic, highly organised individual with excellent interpersonal, communication and written skills. You will be used to working across a number of projects and be able to prioritise your workload and manage your time effectively in this part time role. You will have experience at managing and coordinating events and be able to pick up administrative and IT processes quickly. It is essential to have excellent attention to detail. You will also be able to build successful relationships both internally with volunteers and staff before and during events, and with event venues and other external suppliers.
