About the Role:
This new position will drive our income generation efforts through various channels and initiatives. You will develop and implement business development strategies to attract financial support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and potential donors. The role will proactively engage with donors, build relationships, and cultivate partnerships to create and maximise income generation to support our mission and programmes.
What You'll Do:
Drive development of Urban Synergy’s presence in business FTSE 250 and others, through successful inbound and outbound prospect and client engagement.
Research and identify potential funding sources, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and grant opportunities to build a meaningful opportunity pipeline.
Create comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with Urban Synergy’s organisational goals and mission.
Create, implement and manage fundraising campaigns and initiatives to maximise income generation.
Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential donors.
Develop donor cultivation plans, including personalised communications, events, and stewardship activities.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective donor engagement and recognition and explore new partnership opportunities.
Work closely with the Head of Programmes and Engagement and the Partnership Manager.
Identify relevant grant opportunities and draft compelling proposals ensuring timely their submission including reports, and related documentation.
Attend networking events, conferences, and community gatherings to expand the organisation's network and establish strategic partnerships.
Track and analyse income generation activities, prepare regular reports and revenue forecasts on fundraising progress, outcomes, and ROI.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in fundraising activities.
Who we are looking for:
Someone with substantial and demonstrable experience of working with corporates within FTSE 250 and the commercial sector. This includes proactively acquiring new partnerships and maximising existing relationships, including how to access the decision makers.
Have excellent presentation and negotiating skills, representing the charity in a range of settings and to a range of audiences.
Be a self-starter with strong sales and influencing skills, Able to work independently in particular in developing corporate fundraising products and tools.
Degree in Business, nonprofit management, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in income/revenue generation, fundraising, or new business sales, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices.
Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills, displaying a commitment to excellence and careful attention to detail.
Target driven with an ability to think strategically and develop and implement compelling fundraising strategies.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
Proficiency in fundraising software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of ethical fundraising practices and compliance regulations.

We are looking for a Corporate Performance and Reporting Manager in our Clerk of the Parliament’s Office at the House of Lords. - Providing a leading voice in the co-production of the quarterly performance report to the Management Board and Finance Committee.

- Working with other colleagues across Parliament to help to ensure that other performance monitoring processes allow for comparison.
- Working with Parliamentary Digital Service, and the House of Commons to develop common practices for Corporate Performance Management across Parliament.

ABOUT GLAN
The Global Legal Action Network (GLAN) works with affected communities to pursue innovative legal actions across borders to challenge states and other powerful actors involved in human rights violations and systemic injustice. Our actions address the most pressing instances of human rights concern and they fall within the following themes: War and occupation; accountability and supply chains; environmental and economic justice; and migration and border violence.
Since our establishment in 2016, we have developed legal strategies directly addressing human rights impacts in over 23 countries and territories. Our cases include the successful legal challenge against imports of cotton produced with forced labour in Xinjiang (East Turkistan) into the UK on behalf of World Uyghur Congress and the climate case against 32 European States before the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights, brought on behalf of six Portuguese youth-applicants.
More recently, we have supported the preeminent Palestinian human rights organisation Al Haq, to rapidly challenge UK weapons exports to Israel due to the risk of these arms being used in violations of international law.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Head of Strategic Communications at GLAN, you will spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive communications strategy that amplifies GLAN's mission and impact on a global scale.
You will lead the strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of all communications efforts to enhance the organisation's brand, increase public awareness, and support advocacy and fundraising initiatives.

This is an exciting time to join GLAN. We are seeking a Head of Strategic Communications to build an ambitious communications strategy focused on some of the biggest human rights and climate change issues of our time. At this point in time, the team is small with some budget to work with external freelancers, consultants or agencies. We are looking for someone to grow with GLAN; joining us with a communications team of two and developing your team in the years to come. KEY RESPONSIBITIES
Communications Strategy
- Align cross-media communication strategies with thematic goals to maximise success across all initiatives. Develop campaign & advocacy communications which will influence change.
- Collaborate with project delivery teams across GLAN to ensure a consistent calendar of communications, highlighting all key areas of work.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing communications and advocacy team, currently including a Campaigns Coordinator.
- Create and manage the departmental budget in alignment with the overall communications strategy.
- Utilise data and insights to map and analyse audience behaviour, informing and optimising communication activities.
- Monitor and evaluate the success of campaigns, tracking performance against strategic KPIs.
GLAN brand
- Oversee the review and redesign of the organisation's website to enhance user experience and engagement.

Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
- Serve as a key member of the senior management team, contributing to strategic decision-making and organisational planning.
- Represent the organisation externally at events, conferences, and meetings.
- Prepare communications updates and reports to the Board and relevant committees Work with SLT to improve impact measurement across GLAN.
- External stakeholders Be a Face of GLAN; building & cultivating tactical relationships and networks

Overall purpose
The Head of Corporate Partnerships is a key leadership role within the Income and Engagement Directorate. Breaking Barriers’ relationship with corporate partners is the USP upon which our growth and success as an organisation has been built. The Head of Corporate Partnerships has accountability for generating income, impact and influence from the private sector, and for leading a high-performing team to achieve ambitious growth and scale for refugees around the UK.
As Breaking Barriers has grown from a start-up organisation to a now 60-strong team raising c. £4m and supporting more than 1,200 refugees annually, our corporate partnerships have expanded beyond our original London base to be nationwide partnerships with a wide range of businesses and employers. Our corporate partners have been crucial in enabling our growth and will be crucial to delivering upon the ambition of our 2030 goals. The Head of Corporate Partnerships is an essential role that will make this ambition a reality.
You will lead a team to deliver outstanding partnerships management of a range of strategic and multi-faceted relationships with a portfolio of c.50 businesses alongside leading strategy for business development. Leading by example you will own a number of our key relationships to drive growth, whilst bringing your experience to bear to coach your team and ensure structures and processes are in place to enable high performance.
You will be:
- a creative and strategic thinker who doesn’t feel bound by traditional approaches to charity / corporate relationships,

The Head of Corporate Partnerships will be part of Breaking Barriers’ Joint Leadership Team and will have overall strategic and budget responsibility for Corporate Partnerships. They will be a visible leader within the Income and Engagement Directorate and across the organisation, and will contribute to a culture of creativity, growth, innovation and entrepreneurialism that will drive us to achieve our 2030 goals.

Job summary
The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a Society of over 1,700 members from 100 countries, who work in, or are interested in tropical medicine and global health.
RSTMH organises and participates in events as a crucial way of showcasing, discussing, and debating key areas of tropical medicine and global health research and practice. Our range of events are wide. We deliver conferences and webinars, social events, research meetings for early career professionals, and high-profile debates and discussions. They happen across the UK and around the world, both online and in person. Our events add to the impact of our work in tropical medicine and global health, but also raise funds to allow us to continue our work as a charity.
The Meetings and Events Manager would lead on the delivery of the RSTMH meeting and events strategy. The role requires a self-starter who is excited by the prospect of working on such a broad range of meetings and events. The candidate needs to have excellent communication and relationship building skills, and to be organised, flexible with a great attention to detail. They should be comfortable liaising with venues for meetings space, developing budgets for events, managing logistical aspects of the events programme and setting up new events online and in person.

Role & Responsibilities
We’re proud to have recently been given funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to complete the next phase of our ‘Reuniting Sydenham Hill Wood & Dulwich Wood’ project.
The project will focus on 27.4 hectares of ancient woodland habitat in the largest remining tract of the Great North Wood in South London. This natural heritage is a vital resource for the local community – the Woods saw an unprecedented 81% increase in footfall during the height of the pandemic, with visitor numbers increasing from 189,645 in 2019 to 343,385 in 2020. Only fragments of the ancient Great North Wood landscape remain; this project will help to ensure the long-term protection of the largest area of remaining Woodland.

We’re proud to have recently been given funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to complete the next phase of our ‘Reuniting Sydenham Hill Wood & Dulwich Wood’ project.
The project will focus on 27.4 hectares of ancient woodland habitat in the largest remining tract of the Great North Wood in South London. This natural heritage is a vital resource for the local community – the Woods saw an unprecedented 81% increase in footfall during the height of the pandemic, with visitor numbers increasing from 189,645 in 2019 to 343,385 in 2020. Only fragments of the ancient Great North Wood landscape remain; this project will help to ensure the long-term protection of the largest area of remaining Woodland.

Main Responsibilities:
- To provide a high quality, client-led trauma informed support service to children and young people affected by suicide, enabling them to Address issues resulting from experiences of suicide
- Empower children and young people to aspire to a positive future
- Contribute to the prevention of future potential attempted suicide by promoting healthy attitudes to relationships, life, resilience, families and their communities and friendships
Role tasks:
- Provide early identification, intervention and support to CYP to prevent the development of negative health outcomes for children who have been affected by suicide. With a focus on identifiers such as poor school performance, decreased social adjustment and higher levels of stress, anxiety and depression.
- This service will have a pathway dedicated to working with children and young people that runs parallel to the core service. This will comprise of:
- • Immediate response following the suspected incident of suicide loss with a focus on supporting children and young persons around communication and addressing immediate issues of uncertainty, anxiety, anger and blame.
- • Deliver Group interventions and peer support focused on exploring reactions to death and suicide and strengthening coping skills for bereaved children.
- • Individual emotional and practical support and signposting to appropriate specialist services.
- • Coordination with other key stakeholders that may be involved in the care of the child or young person. This may include schools, community groups, GPs and other professionals.
- The service will be sensitive and adaptable to the child or young person’s communication style and ensure any support materials developed are relevant and age appropriate. Parents and carers will also need support to find the best words to share 11 information with children, ways of opening up conversations and how to respond to difficult questions.
- The service will provide support to education settings such as schools, colleges and universities located within NW London. Offer guidance on developing and implementing postvention protocols and procedures to be followed in the aftermath of a suicide in the community.
- This might include providing resources and support to affected students, staff, and parents, as well as facilitating open and honest communication about the incident. In addition, it will offer emotional and practical support and signposting for students and staff who may be experiencing grief and trauma related to the suicide loss.
- This can be done through individual or group sessions, which provide a safe space for individuals to express their emotions and receive guidance on coping strategies.
- Work within a whole family approach to supporting young people, facilitating clear pathways into relevant services and maintaining effective information sharing between services.
- Assess, manage, and review risks to children/young people (CYP), parents, colleagues, and self.
- Assess the needs of CYP and develop outcome focussed support plans using solution focussed, strength-based methods, in partnership with the CYP and, as appropriate, parent/carer, enabling them to increase feelings of safety and recover from their experiences of suicide postvention
- Implement and review support and risk management plans to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
- Develop and deliver planned interventions to meet needs and improve outcomes for CYP and families, including tailored one to one support and group work.

- Deliver programmes promoting safe relationships to prevent future experiences of abuse.

The Head of Fundraising & Communications will operate as an effective member of the Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO and acting as the strategic lead for the charity’s fundraising and communications activity.
Given the fluctuating nature of statutory income (currently c.75% of total income) it will be the responsibility of the Head of Fundraising & Communications to develop and implement a fundraising strategy that enables the organisation to diversify its income portfolio, ensuring a sustainable funding model that spreads risk and allows for greater donor engagement.
There is a blank canvas to be creative and try new things, with lots of scope for the successful applicant to determine where the network opportunities might lie, build long term relationships and develop an exciting programme of external communications and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate as an effective member of the Leadership Team, working collaboratively to ensure the delivery of organisational objectives.
