What’s the job?
We are searching for a talented commercial operator to join the team as Commercial Development Consultant. The role is fast paced, working with students’ union commercial teams around the UK, with frequent travel and some nights away involved.
A key part of the role is to initiate, grow and maintain engaging relationships with member students’ union commercial teams across retail, licensed hospitality and food service environments to enable them to grow their profitable contribution in a compliant, insight-led way.
The role has responsibility for implementing our inhouse compliance programmes, ensuring improved understanding and awareness to create programme longevity and continued benefits for both members and suppliers.
Our members take part in the Best Bar None accreditation, demonstrating that their licensed spaces are being operated in a safe and responsible manner. The role holder would therefore become a Best Bar None assessor and complete a number of in person assessments during the year.
Who you are
A talented operator who has experience in the commercial world of hospitality (catering and licensed), retail experience would be a bonus, either within a Students’ Union or a high street operator.
You will have held roles where you can demonstrate a vast knowledge of operating commercial outlets whilst controlling costs, managing margins, and delivering great operating standards.
Understanding the market is key as you’ll be helping our member students’ unions to interpret current trends and develop them into successful action within member commercial operations.
Having a good eye for detail and understanding the need for compliance comes easy to you, along with the skill to challenge where non-compliance may be apparent, so you’ll have strong interpersonal and influencing skills and be a good communicator.

The Talent Set are delighted to be working with a fantastic charity supporting young unaccompanied refugees in England who are looking for an Interim Head of Fundraising & Communications to join their team for an initial 6 months period.
The Head of Fundraising & Communications will operate as an effective member of the Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO and acting as the strategic lead for the charity’s fundraising and communications activity.
Given the fluctuating nature of statutory income (currently c.75% of total income) it will be the responsibility of the Head of Fundraising & Communications to develop and implement a fundraising strategy that enables the organisation to diversify its income portfolio, ensuring a sustainable funding model that spreads risk and allows for greater donor engagement.
There is a blank canvas to be creative and try new things, with lots of scope for the successful applicant to determine where the network opportunities might lie, build long term relationships and develop an exciting programme of external communications and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate as an effective member of the Leadership Team, working collaboratively to ensure the delivery of organisational objectives.
- Develop, lead and deliver the fundraising strategy – focused on diversification and sustainable income whilst remaining hands on in the establishment of new income streams.
- Establish clear stewardship plans for all supporters, maximising their engagement with the charity.
- Develop and implement the communications strategy – utilising external comms to engage supporters and underpin income generation whilst raising awareness about the issues faced by unaccompanied child refugees.
- Oversee the generation of tailored, multimedia content that raises awareness of the charity and drives increased support.
Person Specification:
- Aligned with the charity's values of: Respect, Integrity, Passion, Grace, Compassion and Wisdom.
- Proven expertise of fundraising across different income streams (e.g. trusts and foundations, community, regional, philanthropy). Expertise of developing new income streams from scratch/a low base would be beneficial but not essential.
- Relational approach – focused on developing long term commitments and support from key stakeholders and donor audiences.
- Experience of working in a communications role/closely with communications teams to maximise the opportunities to engage externally and increase support/awareness.
- Creative approach to fundraising, with realistic ambitions within a small charity environment.
What’s on offer:

The main role requirements for this role include:
- An appropriate social work qualification
- Up-to-date registration with Social Work England
- Post-qualifying experience in fostering/family placements or other childcare settings
- Suitable experience in supporting and supervising 10-12 foster families to meet the complex needs of the looked-after young people

In addition to the annual salary, the successful candidate will be paid an Out of Hours Allowance of £1,500 p.a. once participating in the relevant rota.

This is a key role for which we’re seeking a suitably qualified and experienced immigration adviser. They will be responsible for providing an excellent frontline service to KIND UK clients, leading on all matters relating to the assessment and triage of new referrals to the service.

Who you are

Rydym wedi bod yn cynorthwyo dioddefwyr lladdfeydd ar ein ffyrdd ers 1995. Rydym hefyd yn ymgyrchu am newid cadarnhaol er mwyn atal gwrthdrawiadau yn y dyfodol ac achub bywydau.
Cyfle prin a chyffrous i'n cynorthwyo ni gynorthwyo pobl eraill
Wyddoch chi fod rhywun yn cael eu lladd neu eu hanafu'n ddifrifol ar ein ffyrdd bob 20 munud? Mae effaith hynny ar unigolion a'u teuluoedd ehangach yn fawr a phellgyrhaeddol a gall ddigwydd i unrhyw un ohonom ni, unrhyw bryd.
Mae Gwasanaeth Cenedlaethol Dioddefwyr y Ffyrdd yn tyfu, gan ganiatáu i ni gyrraedd mwy o bobl mewn angen ac ychwanegu at ein sylfaen sydd wedi hen sefydlu er mwyn creu gwaddol parhaol. Er mwyn cynorthwyo'r twf hwn, rydym yn chwilio am weithiwr achos penderfynol i ddod yn rhan o'n tîm brwdfrydig, egnïol a dynamig, gan gyflawni gwasanaethau cymorth o'r radd flaenaf i bobl ar adeg pan maent fwyaf bregus.
Nid yw hon yn swydd 9 tan 5 gyffredin, ac nid ydy cyfleoedd fel hyn yn dod bob dydd. Gallech fod yn chwarae rhan sylweddol yn ein hymrwymiad i gyflwyno ein gwasanaethau cymorth trawma ledled y wlad sydd wedi'u datblygu'n glinigol. Gallech wneud cyfraniad cadarnhaol i fywydau pobl sydd wedi profi galar trawmatig neu wedi'u hanafu'n ddifrifol oherwydd gwrthdrawiadau traffig ffordd.

Pwy ydych chi
Rydym angen pobl egnïol a mentrus sy'n frwdfrydig ynghylch cynorthwyo pobl eraill i ymuno â'n tîm ffantastig.
Rydym yn chwilio am bobl sydd â chefndir mewn darparu cymorth emosiynol ac ymchwil ac eiriolaeth ymarferol i bobl fregus ar ôl trawma seicolegol difrifol fel marwolaeth anwylyn mewn amgylchiadau treisgar.
Yn benodol, rydym yn chwilio am ymgeiswyr gyda:

cadernid sylweddol a pharodrwydd i gael eich datblygu'n broffesiynol a'ch goruchwylio'n glinigol

trwydded yrru lawn o'r DU, gyda mynediad at eich cludiant eich hun ac yn barod i'w ddefnyddio at ddibenion gwaith (rydym yn ad-dalu costau teithio).
Rhaid i ymgeiswyr allu siarad Cymraeg. Bydd disgwyl i chi gefnogi teuluoedd sy'n iaith gyntaf Gymraeg.
Mae gennym ddiddordeb derbyn ceisiadau gan ymgeiswyr gyda phrofiad o gynorthwyo pobl sydd wedi dioddef galar sydyn neu brofiad o weithio gyda phobl gyda bregusrwydd dwysach. Nid yw hyn yn eithrio pobl eraill gyda llaw.
Mae profiad yn y rolau canlynol yn tueddu trosglwyddo'n dda i rôl gweithiwr achos yn Brake: heddlu, rolau o fewn y system cyfiawnder troseddol, swyddog cyswllt teuluoedd, cwnselydd, profiad mewn gofal iechyd a chymdeithasol neu brofiad blaenorol fel gweithiwr achos mewn unrhyw faes.

Bydd gofyn i'r ymgeisydd llwyddiannus fynd drwy broses fetio DBS uwch oherwydd natur sensitif y gwasanaeth a gyflawnir. Efallai bydd angen fetio heddlu ychwanegol (i'w gadarnhau).
