Job Purpose: We are looking to recruit an empathic, warm, friendly, hard-working and flexible person who is passionate about improving young people’s emotional wellbeing and mental health. They must be a team player with excellent communication and organisational skills, able to prioritise and manage their own workload. They must be able to work independently within the community.

Salary: £ 26,000 - £29,120

Hours of work: 35 hours per week. Working pattern is Monday 12:30am-8:30pm, Tuesday 9:00am to 5:00pm, Wednesday 10.30am to 6:30pm, Thursday 9:00am -5:00pm, Friday 10:00am - 6:00pm.

Location: Phoenix Youth Centre plus working across locations in East Surrey as necessary.

Annual leave:  Five weeks plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part time workers) Holidays increase after two years’ service to a maximum of six weeks after six years’ service.  (pro-rata for part time workers) 

The holiday year runs from 1  April to 31 March each year.

Main Responsibilities:

 To help assess the needs and strengths of the referred young adult and help them identify individual goals to achieve desired change

 To deliver early support/targeted group interventions which aim to improve mental health and well-being, build on existing strengths and increase levels of resilience

 Record and collect data with various tools such as Outcome Star and Session Feedback Questionnaires to evaluate the ef fectiveness of interventions

 To take responsibility for own caseload of young adults, some with complex and multiple needs, with support f rom senior EWMH staf f

 To help involve project participants in the co-production of programmes, activities and services

 To be proactive in connecting with other agencies who can provide activities to support Step Forward sessions

 Attending networking events and meetings, online and in-person, to promote Step Forward

 To work collaboratively with Surrey CCGs, GPs, local CYPS and adult mental health teams and other community-based services to provide the most ef fective service for young adults and reach targets set by partners whilst keeping within the YMCA values of service

 To keep accurate records of individual engagement, evidence of change and celebrate progress with participants

 To record and report the appropriate data to ensure the project can be accurately monitored and evaluated

 Where appropriate, to apply safeguarding and child and vulnerable adult protection procedures

 To organise and provide written case studies as evidence of the ef fectiveness of individual interventions and activities

 To work as part of a team and attend team meetings, training events and participate fully in one to one, peer and group supervision

 Support summer activity programmes with partner group WAVES with supervising young people of f -site

 Planning, organising and running summer activities for Step Forward participants (Wellbeing Coordinator – Step Forward, September 2024)

 To take responsibility for Youth Support Workers, volunteers and colleagues volunteering time to the project, taking charge of a staf f rota and ensuring guidelines are in place and updated regularly to ensure best practice

 Outreaching to external volunteer workers and communicating closely with HR

 Any other duties are required to be performed within the grade and renumeration of the role

Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs. We fund cutting-edge research, provide advice and support for the 12 million people who will get a lung condition during their lifetime. You will work as a member of the helpline team providing respiratory nutritional support to people living with a lung condition, as well as their relatives and carers. The role will involve communicating with service users through providing telephone support on an individual basis and presenting educational sessions to attendees of our support groups.

You will have recent experience in nutritional care in a primary, secondary or tertiary setting. IT skills are essential and experience of a customer relationship manager system (data recording system) an advantage.

London Survivors Gateway

London Survivors Gateway (LSG) is made up of the four London Rape Crisis Centres, Galop, Survivors UK, Respond and the Havens and together make up the LSG partnership. Women and Girls Network (WGN) leads this collaborative partnership which provides an information and access service across London for survivors of sexual violence, aged 13+, who wish to access ongoing support. The LSG works with people of all genders.

LSG aims to ensure diversity and equality is at the centre of the service and service delivery, and that the service continues to be responsive to, and meet the needs of all survivors in a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive way.

About the role

We are looking for highly motivated and experienced Navigators to join the LSG. The Navigators will act as first point of contact for survivors of sexual violence and the professionals supporting them, by providing holistic and non-judgemental information, advice and support. They will support survivors (via telephone) to access additional specialist sexual violence services through trauma-informed triage and assessment.

WGN is also looking for a highly motivated and experienced Rapid Response Senior Navigator to support the LSG team by responding effectively and efficiently to enquiries that need to be prioritised due to safeguarding risk. They will help triage, assess and refer clients with multiple disadvantages into supporting service.

• a full UK driving licence, with access to your own transport and are willing to use it for work purposes (we reimburse travelling expenses).

Candidates must be able to speak Welsh. You will be expected to support families who are first language Welsh.

• Provide guidance to support clients to stay in existing work, including advice on mental health disclosure, negotiating reasonable adjustments to existing workplaces, creating wellness action plans and improving productivity, support to return to work after sickness absence or to leave an existing role with dignity, and signpost clients to organisations that can represent them (EAs should only look to represent clients in exceptional circumstances).
• Facilitate access to other advice in areas such as financial benefits, debt management, food banks and community food outlets and social housing providers, as necessary.

The role holder must also:

• NVQ Level 3 minimum or equivalent in either employment support/advice, mental health or other relevant area, or equivalent experience gained through work experience in the field.
• Understanding and experience of the support needs of people with common mental health conditions in finding, retaining, returning to, or leaving mainstream employment.
• Knowledge and experience of working in a health or social care setting.
• Evidence of basic counselling skills.
• Ability to assess individual client strengths and needs in relation to employment and think creatively to provide bespoke client action planning and solutions.
• Experience of effective diary management, prioritising tasks and working to tight deadlines to manage own caseload and associated administration.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with clients (face to face, by telephone and in writing) and as part of a team.
• Able to present confidently to external stakeholders and partners at various levels.

Home-Start London is an independent charity that connects and strengthens the 16 local Home-Starts in the capital so that together we can reach more families. Collectively, our network supported over 6,500 families including 9,500 children last year.

About the role

Working closely with the Director and Home-Start staff, volunteers and partners across the capital, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of our joint projects and activities from our peer learning groups and network events to our growing portfolio of funded partnerships.

What you'll be working on:

- You’ll take the lead on coordinating our peer learning groups, joint research and volunteer recruitment campaigns

- You’ll support the Director to secure and manage funding partnerships, including monitoring plans and budgets

- You’ll oversee development and monitoring of Home-Start London’s annual operational plan

- You’ll regularly engage with local Home-Starts and partners, ensuring they are shaping our work

- You’ll oversee logistics for network events

- You’ll provide administrative support, from raising invoices to organising/chairing network meetings

- You’ll create content for our website and social media to help promote our work

- You’ll manage office volunteers, ensuring they are happy, effective and well supported

 About you 

To thrive in this role, you will be highly organised with excellent multi-tasking skills and previous experience of project coordination and/or operational administration. You will be a great relationship builder, able to support people to work together effectively while ensuring agreed targets are met. The Child and Family Specialist role is part of an exciting and innovative partnership with the London Borough of Ealing to provide an early intervention service in the community and in schools to children, young people and their families. The Ealing Early Intervention Service has been commissioned to provide direct and systemic work to address moderate mental health needs.

The Child and Family Specialist will work in partnership with schools, children and families to assess and respond to the psychological needs of children experiencing social, emotional, mental health or behavioural difficulties through undertaking assessments and providing interventions. The post-holder will also: provide specialist advice and support to school staff in the identification of mental health needs of children and accessing appropriate resources; and actively contribute to outcome monitoring and service improvement.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a commissioned service delivering direct interventions for young people and their families. The post-holder will offer a range of clinical activities to address mental health needs in children and young people, including direct individual and group work with young people and parents/carers and joint work with other professionals.  The clinical case presentation is mostly moderate risk and requires insight into handling complex clinical cases (e.g. neurodiverse and trauma-inform practice) and appropriate responses to safeguarding concerns.

The Child and Family Specialist will join a small team of 12 people in a fast-paced working dynamic. The post-holder will be supported through supervision and will deliver consultation, training, and workshops to non-mental health staff.

Location

Hybrid (a mixture of home/onsite working): staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours, either at Greenford Service Centre (UB6 9LB) and occasionally at Anna Freud, 4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH.

Age UK Westminster is seeking a Digital Inclusion Coordinator to join our home visiting digital inclusion team funded by Central North West London NHS Foundation Trust. The Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster Social Isolation project supports and enhances existing Older Adult Mental Health services provided by CNWL by providing targeted outreach digital inclusion support to vulnerable older people with the aim of reducing the impact of loneliness and isolation.
