You will facilitate a supportive learning environment where interns are immersed in real workplace settings, receiving continuous feedback and honing their employability skills. Your dedication and expertise will equip our interns with the confidence and competencies needed to thrive in adulthood and competitive employment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

• To effectively plan and deliver an employability curriculum whilst embedding functional skills (Entry 3-Level 2) and/or delivering maths and English qualifications at these levels. 
• Provide engaging teaching sessions that promote skilsl development and independence in the workplace.
• Implement appropriate assessment, target setting, recording, reporting and evaluation of the progress of the interns. 
• Identify interns skills to enable them to participate in a variety of work-based tasks to build marketable, competitive skills leading to employment. 
• Collaborate with the employers (Gardeners and Charity Shops) to create meaningful internship opportunities and facilitate successful work placements.
• To work alongside job coaches to perform specific workplace analysis, job analysis, task analysis, and job matching activities
• To seek appropriate future employment consistent with the interns interests and skills 
• As a personal tutor, be responsible for the emotional and social welfare of the interns. 
• Work with parents, local authorities and other supported internship stakeholders to support the progression of the interns
• To To demonstrate a commitment to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults in line with the policies and practices of Harington

 The work is an assertive outreach caseworker role; an Advocate will be responsible for supporting 5 women in their assigned borough. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the intersection between severe and multiple disadvantage and VAWG and a strong understanding of how this can make it difficult for women to engage with support. You will have worked with people experiencing various aspects of severe and multiple disadvantage: homelessness, substance use, mental health issues, insecure immigration status, prostitution, offending history and children taken into care.

About You

• Demonstrable experience of working with people affected by VAWG
• Experience of risk assessment, risk management, and safety planning with victim/survivors including those at high risk
• Experience of working with people affected by severe and multiple disadvantage: homelessness, substance use, mental health issues, insecure immigration status, prostitution and offending behaviour
• Experience of multi-agency partnership working
• A sound working knowledge of the practical, emotional, social and economic issues facing women and children affected by domestic abuse
• Knowledge of housing, welfare and policy relating to domestic abuse

• Strong crisis management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task and display effective time management skills
• Ability to manage and monitor a small service user welfare budget

4. Lead and facilitate groupwork programmes for parents such Strengthening Families Strengthening Communities and Child Overcoming Domestic Abuse.

5. Safeguard the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults you work with directly and take appropriate action if escalation is needed.

6. To provide practical and emotional support to families or advocacy and signposting to specialist and universal services where appropriate.

The Role

Our expert team of canine behaviourists provide behavioural support and advice to teams within Battersea, members of the public, and the rescue organisations we work with around the world. Within this role, you will work with our operational teams in the assessment and welfare of the dogs in our care and in the provision of behavioural training and advice for staff, volunteers, customers and external organisations. • Collaborate with management team to create effective, engaging reports to a range of funders and other stakeholders

• Lead on community fundraising initiatives with management team support

• Maintain a unified tone and thematic approach across all media and marketing platforms

About you

You are passionate about the power of community to connect and support people, and you like to work in collaboration with others. You have strong written communication skills and a keen eye for creating visually-appealing, engaging content. You’re flexible, accountable, take responsibility, are highly organised and skilled in multitasking and balancing priorities.

This role is 22.5 hours per week, with flexibility for regular evening and occasional weekend working.
