What we do
Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, SE16. Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 137 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship, with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with volunteering and children and families’ projects. Since resuming services post-Covid, we have realized the needs and wants of the community have shifted from our previous offer. We have a strong Community Development programme to connect with and rebuild our offer, including some big changes to pre-Covid ways of working. Building on a strong track record, we intend to continue working with the community to deliver activities and events that meet local needs while also providing opportunities for fun and friendship. Our community offer includes activities connecting children to nature and tackling food insecurity; accessible community fitness and wellbeing activities; and intergenerational activities and events. We are re-developing our offer whilst staying focused on our aims: ensuring that everyone feels part of a community and that no one is isolated or lonely. We are looking for a fresh pair of eyes to help us evolve this work.
The role
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
• Strategic development and oversight of community programmes for children, adults and across multiple generations
• Leadership and line management of team; oversight of sessional facilitators and contractors used by team
• Setting programme budget and service targets; monitoring and evaluation to ensure delivery against these
• Playing a key part in building, broadening and developing new funding for these programmes and maintaining relationships with current funders
• Lead role in planning and execution of community events
• Development of corporate partnerships and CSR relationships
• Responsibility for general outward communications, including social media
• Contributing to the wider organisation as a member of the Senior Management Team
• Acting as Deputy Safeguarding Lead
About you
You have a track record of developing and delivering excellent community programmes in the third sector. You’re a seasoned team leader with experience of change management. You have an outwardlooking approach and are passionate about building programmes with community buy-in. You’re flexible, accountable, take responsibility, are highly organised and skilled in multitasking and balancing priorities. You have experience of fundraising and maybe other types of income generation. You have strong relationship building skills – internally and externally - and build trust and credibility easily. You are passionate about the power of community to connect and support people.

The Night Shelter Manager is responsible for the following:
- The day-to-day operation and management of nights shelters in West and Southwest London. Maintaining a friendly, supportive environment and cultivating positive relationships with guests, colleagues and volunteers.
- Welcoming and inducting new guests into the shelter by explaining the shelter policies.
- Supporting volunteer teams at each venue to ensure the smooth running of the project and developing good communication with the Volunteer Co-ordinators.
- Diffusing difficult or dangerous situations and summon assistance when necessary. Training will be provided.
- Ensuring cleaning protocols are implemented by all staff, guests and volunteers.
- Maintaining guest attendance records and shift reports on our iPad-based In-From client relationship platform.
- Following best practice procedures for the security and safety of the guests and volunteers.
- Monitoring guest welfare throughout the shift and responding to any situations or emergencies that arise. Adhering to Glass Door’s operational and health & safety policies in all aspects of your work.
- Maintaining clear lines of communication with your colleagues including Overnight Project Workers, Caseworkers and Operations Manager.
- Conducting a nightly briefing for volunteers and staff before the shelter opens to guests.
- Undertaking any other duties to aid the good running of the project, as required by the Operations Manager. Attending regular meetings with caseworkers to share any relevant information including guest welfare, interactions and other important information.
- Attending 1 to 1 sessions with the Operations Manager on a fortnightly basis.

- Provides individualised support for interns at the host business worksite placement or competitive job which includes: job coaching, identifying job placements, assistive technology, etc.
- Attends host business induction to ensure student understanding and learning

Shooting Star Children’s Hospices are a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. We support families across Surrey and Southwest London from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.
At the heart of the hospice are our dedicated clinical staffs. Their exceptional commitment and professionalism is commented on by so many of the supported children and their families.

Introduction
Retail and Volunteers Team: Our Retail and Volunteers Team manages our charity shops and volunteer programs, which play a crucial role in supporting our mission. They recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to staff our shops and assist with various tasks, such as sorting donations and serving customers. Additionally, they oversee the operations of our retail outlets, ensuring that they are efficiently run to generate income for our hospices.
Part 1: Job Profile
a) Main purpose of job
In the absence of the manager or assistant managers to lead a team of volunteers to maximise sales, deliver excellent customer service and ensure that the shop premises and assets are maintained to a high standard, according to legal requirements and Shooting Star Children’s Hospices (SSCH) policies and procedures.
Decision Making Authority
The post holder will be required to make decisions on the quality, and suitability of donations before they are placed on sale. Depending on the length of the cover period they may be required to dress the windows. (They will follow price guidelines and existing display layout throughout the shop.)
The post holder will work with eCommerce Manager to decide if items would be suitable for selling at a higher price on eBay or through a promotional event and set these aside for the manager of the shop to deal with on their return.
The post holder will support with rostering of the team of volunteers where necessary and delegation of duties and jobs.

• Process all donations as soon as possible, prioritising Gift Aid and high value items
• Prepare and clean items appropriately for display
• Oversee the recycling and arranging of collections

The Direct Marketing Manager, Retention, is a newly developed role at the DEC, responsible for shaping and delivering new and existing supporter journeys for DEC individual, community and legacy donors, and leading a programme of improvement across all major contact points between the DEC and the public.
The Direct Marketing Manager, Retention will:
- Contribute to and develop DEC direct marketing strategies, including the refreshing, implementation and analysis of the DEC’s segmentation, to maximise future income and continually improve the retention of individual supporters for future emergency appeals,
- Lead on the production of retention and reporting back materials for individual and community supporters,
- Manage the development and maintenance of specific supporter journeys,

Key responsibilities include:
Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement the direct marketing retention strategy, ensuring that past learnings are built upon, and new ideas are tested.
- Develop and implement specific audience journeys for segments across both the life cycle of a DEC appeal and between appeals.
- Ensure timely and relevant communications to all direct marketing, community, and legacy audiences on the impact of their donations.
- Build an improved supporter journey strategy for new, repeat, and lapsed donors.
- Lead, design, and monitor the collection of audience insight during appeals.
Fundraising
- Develop the DEC’s donor journeys for individuals and community supporters, monitoring the development of segments and the engagement of repeat donors.
- Provide analysis during and following an appeal of performance to measure and report performance against key indicators and develop recommendations for improving impact in the next appeal.
- Support the stewardship of community fundraisers and groups in conjunction with the Supporter Services team.
Networking and building relationships
- Develop excellent working relationships with the DEC’s suppliers including creative agencies, media agencies, SMS and email suppliers, and the print/mailing house.
- Work with permanent and temporary staff at the DEC during appeals to maximise the success of the appeal.

The Senior Multiple Needs Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) will work within a dynamic, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service based at the CGL Ealing Women’s Wellness Zone. The IDVA will provide support in the local community and at the Ealing Women’s Wellness Zone. The successful candidate will be co-located up to 5 days a week at the Women’s Wellness Zone.
The IDVA will be closely working alongside CGL colleagues/team to deliver support to women with a range of complex support needs including substance misuse, mental health, domestic abuse, sex working, trafficking, and offending behaviour. The IDVA will work in collaboration with their team members to holistically support women in the borough of Ealing to achieve sustained recovery, improved health and wellbeing, helping women to manage/mitigate risks, and empowering them to reach their fullest potential in society as well as ensuring the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process.
The Senior Multiple Needs IDVA will assess the needs and risks of survivors, carry out short and longer-term risk management, safety planning and support. As well as identify and refer to services appropriate to their needs. They will also proactively advocate and advice women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies, encouraging them to engage with other agencies, and help co-ordinate the provision of multi-agency support where necessary.
About You:
To be successful as the Senior Multiple Needs IDVA you will need to have:
Excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children, of best practice in supporting survivors of domestic abuse, and of the MARAC. As well as understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field.
Bringing your experience of risk and needs assessment, safety and support planning, and crisis planning and successfully managing high numbers of referrals and experience of working in a co-located setting with another agency and providing consultations/briefings to professionals to support in upskilling them around Domestic Abuse. The candidate will have experience of partnership working and of maintaining excellent working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to work as part of an innovative service, designed to offer multi-disciplinary wrap-around support to women with multiple needs, with the aim of facilitating long-term recovery.

JOB PURPOSE
The Children and Young People’s Mentor will work within the CYP team to deliver services relating to children and young people affected by Domestic violence and Abuse.
They will hold a caseload for direct 1-1 work with young people/ girls and deliver a programme of groups in schools to adolescent girls. Responsibilities will include recording of data, reporting and completing evaluations.
They will be expected to promote the work of the Rising Sun and take a share of responsibility in delivering or assisting with promotional work within the organisation.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Service delivery
- Work 1-1 with young people (aged 11 to 15 years) affected by Domestic violence and Abuse
- Build positive working relationships with local schools to deliver this programme
- Hold own caseload and respond in a way that understands the needs of the young people the Rising Sun supports
- Work in a mentoring capacity with children and adolescents with a specific focus on domestic abuse and its impact
- Recognise the impact of domestic abuse on young people and families; showing empathy and understanding in working with these families and developing the capacity to adopt a trauma informed approach to the work
- Support and facilitate groups in schools and in the community focusing on healthy relationships, spotting red flags etc
- Work flexibly with young people and meet with them in a variety of settings such as schools, colleges and community centres, depending on their needs

In recognition of the distinct challenges facing young women and girls (YWG), Advance will deliver a dedicated service to young women and girls (aged 13 to 18) who have been a victim or witness of crime. Active Together is a multimodal prehabilitation and rehabilitation service that has been developed by world leading academics and practitioners at the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC) at Sheffield Hallam University (SHU).
Reporting to the Director of Research and Services, The Head of Active Together will lead the charity’s Active Together team to directly deliver Active Together services in various locations across Yorkshire as well as overseeing funding contracts with NHS Trusts to deliver the service on behalf of the Charity. They will work in partnership with Sheffield Hallam University to evaluate and ensure continuous improvement of all the Active Together services.
Specifically, you will:
Leadership
-
Manage resource levels to deliver the charity’s Active Together Services to a consistently high-standard and within budget.

Coaching and developing the charity’s Active Together team, role modelling the internal personal development and objective setting approach.

Driving continuous improvement across the team, ensuring learnings from the management and evaluation of the services influences future strategic decisions.
Roll out of Active Together across Yorkshire with External Stakeholders

Lead the charity to achieve the vision of all patients in Yorkshire having access to Active Together through:

Collaborating with Sheffield Hallam University to continue to develop and implement new Active Together Programmes across Yorkshire including the quality assurance, evaluation, and continuous improvement of existing services.

Ensuring public and patient involvement informs development, delivery and continuous improvement of the Active Together services in partnership with Sheffield Hallam University and the charity’s internal Public and Patient Involvement team.

Supporting the Director of Research, Services and Policy on the negotiation of contractual terms with NHS Trusts to deliver Active Together Services.
Service delivery and Operational Management of the charity’s Active Together Programme

Lead and manage our in-house service delivery teams (including Personal Trainers, Dietitians and Counsellors) to deliver the Active Together service in the charity’s first bespoke Yorkshire Cancer Centre in Harrogate.

Work closely with the AWRC to ensure the Active Together Programme is implemented correctly ensuring treatment fidelity and to ensure evaluation data is collected.
Governance
Ensure the highest levels of good governance within the Active Together team by:

Working with the Risk, Compliance and Governance team to ensure the governance of the in-house Active Together Services is fit for purpose.

Ensuring that the charity’s Active Together operational policies and procedures are fit for purpose and are continually reviewed and updated as required.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:

To have excellent track record of management and leadership, with relevant experience at a senior manager/team leader level in delivering exercise-based, or cancer-related, services in the public or charity sector setting.

To have proven experience of managing internal budgets, risk registers and complying with internal and external governance requirements such as data protection regulations in a public or charity sector setting.
-
To have proven experience of developing and maintaining strong relationships with a broad range of external senior and operational stakeholders including health service providers and commissioners in addition to patients and service users that is relevant to the role.

To have excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.

To be able to develop reports and present complex information to a range of stakeholders.
