What we are looking for:
· Achievement of a recognised, fully qualified professional Accountancy qualification (for example, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
· A dynamic and experienced individual, with proven experience in a senior financial management role, ideally within the charity sector
· Proficient in preparing, analysing and presenting financial statements (income statement, balance sheet and cashflow statement).
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain financial processes to non-financial staff.
· Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
· Proven IT skills, including a high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, with a strong knowledge of Excel’s functions and formulas

About the Role
This new role within the Operations Directorate will manage our existing portfolio of national skills competitions, work with the wider team and network to develop our offering to ensure we are aligned with the UK economic priorities. You will have experience of the technical and vocational education and training or apprenticeship systems, be proactive and able to engage with a range of stakeholders.
Role purpose
The purpose of this role is to manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the national competition programme is delivered to a high standard, ensuring a collaborative approach to its development and delivery, in partnership with education and industry
Key tasks and responsibilities:
1. Management of a portfolio of national skills competitions across a range of industry sectors:
Develop knowledge and understanding of each competition and their operational needs and requirements, through meetings (one-to-one and group), with competition organising partners (COPs), educators and industry.
• Provide technical and operational advice, guidance, and support on competition delivery to internal teams, partners, and external stakeholders in education and industry.
• Undertake mid-year and annual reviews of competition organising partners (COPs) and continually seek to develop efficient quality procedures.
• Support competition organising partners (COPs) to understand programme requirements and produce key documentation to a consistent high quality and standard, submitted to agreed timeframes
2. Management of all contracts and processes associated with WorldSkills UK’s network of competition organising partners (COP’s):
Implement the competitions organising partner (COP) quality assurance and continuous improvement model and monitoring framework, to ensure the programme runs effectively through contract compliance and that key milestones are met and risks are mitigated.
• Quality assure and sign off key competition deliverables and milestones, reporting and tracking progress on centralised monitoring systems.
• Carry out monthly catch up and bi-annual reviews of competition organising partners (COPs) and support them to continually improve programme delivery resulting in a high-quality, innovative competitions and a positive competitor experience. Page 7 of 10
• Provide development support to delivery partners to raise the standard and quality of competitions delivered within their footprint, in collaboration with the Quality and Standards team. This also includes organising sector-based cluster meetings for competition organising partners to foster greater collaboration and collect, synthesise and exchange information and best practice pertinent to their particular industry or sector.
• Ensure monitoring and reporting systems are accurate and kept up to date.
• Work with the Corporate Partnerships team to manage competitions funded through an investment model.
3. Support the development of new skills competitions:
• Review, assess and implement initiatives that create future-proof skills competitions that are sustainable, responsive to employer needs and provide greater alignment to UK economic priorities.
4. Project management:
• Take ownership of allocated projects within the Operations directorate ensuring all deviations from targets (time, money, people etc.) are identified and addressed at the earliest possible stage.
• Effectively coordinate resources (including agencies, suppliers, contractors) so that all project elements are delivered to acceptable standards on time, to budget, and meet the required specification(s)/objective(s).
5. General

This role is office based (as above) but with flexible hybrid working. It is expected the postholder will attend the office at least once or twice a week.

Cycle Sisters has grown hugely over the past few years, with an expanded range of programmes and activity. We are keen to continue this journey of growth and have just finalised a new strategy for 2024-2027 which prioritises reaching more women and girls, and ensuring our financial sustainability.
The Fundraising Lead will play a critical role in supporting our ‘sustainability' strategic priority to ensure Cycle Sisters can access the resources it needs to keep making a difference. This post-holder will lead on growing Cycle Sisters’ unrestricted income, with a focus on community fundraising and corporate partnerships.
The post-holder will need to be an excellent networker, confident in representing the organisation externally and able to motivate a range of stakeholders to financially support Cycle Sisters’ work.
What would you be doing?

Young people's services
Delivering a resettlement service to young people with multiple needs. This will include:
- Working to ensure young people receive a high-quality service from the point of registration to the move-on. Taking a hands-on approach to dealing with complex or difficult cases and ensuring the quality of support plans to create opportunities to promote independence.
- Managing a caseload of internally referred clients with additional needs as they transition out of homelessness, ensuring that the necessary support structures are in place to facilitate successful tenancy sustainment.
- Carrying out thorough needs assessments and putting in place support plans with young people accessing the resettlement programme.
- Providing expert advice and guidance on Accommodation, Welfare Benefits, Housing Benefit and Tenancy rights, Legal Services, and Employment, Education & Training. Monitoring and evaluating young people’s progress.
- Building and maintaining effective partnerships with accommodation providers and external stakeholders, in addition to cultivating and strengthening existing relationships.
- Referring young people to other internal New Horizon Youth Centre teams in order to support their progression, including Health and Jobs, Education and Training.

ABOUT GLAN
The Global Legal Action Network (GLAN) works with affected communities to pursue innovative legal actions across borders to challenge states and other powerful actors involved in human rights violations and systemic injustice. Our actions address the most pressing instances of human rights concern and they fall within the following themes: War and occupation; accountability and supply chains; environmental and economic justice; and migration and border violence.
Since our establishment in 2016, we have developed legal strategies directly addressing human rights impacts in over 23 countries and territories. Our cases include the successful legal challenge against imports of cotton produced with forced labour in Xinjiang (East Turkistan) into the UK on behalf of World Uyghur Congress and the climate case against 32 European States before the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights, brought on behalf of six Portuguese youth-applicants.
More recently, we have supported the preeminent Palestinian human rights organisation Al Haq, to rapidly challenge UK weapons exports to Israel due to the risk of these arms being used in violations of international law.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Head of Strategic Communications at GLAN, you will spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive communications strategy that amplifies GLAN's mission and impact on a global scale.
You will lead the strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of all communications efforts to enhance the organisation's brand, increase public awareness, and support advocacy and fundraising initiatives.
A key part of your role will be to establish GLAN's voice and brand, ensuring it resonates with diverse audiences. You will lead on improving our website and communications style, producing high quality content and ensuring consistent and compelling messaging across all platforms.
By fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the media, partners, and the affected communities we support you will play a crucial role in advancing GLAN's vision to challenge injustice through innovative legal strategies.
Reporting directly to the CEO you will form part of the Senior Leadership Team to drive organisational growth & development; looking beyond your immediate communications responsibilities.
This is an exciting time to join GLAN. We are seeking a Head of Strategic Communications to build an ambitious communications strategy focused on some of the biggest human rights and climate change issues of our time. At this point in time, the team is small with some budget to work with external freelancers, consultants or agencies. We are looking for someone to grow with GLAN; joining us with a communications team of two and developing your team in the years to come. You should recognise that in the short to medium term, the role will involve some hands-on responsibilities until such time that we can expand the team.
KEY RESPONSIBITIES
Communications Strategy
- Align cross-media communication strategies with thematic goals to maximise success across all initiatives. Develop campaign & advocacy communications which will influence change.
- Collaborate with project delivery teams across GLAN to ensure a consistent calendar of communications, highlighting all key areas of work.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing communications and advocacy team, currently including a Campaigns Coordinator.
- Create and manage the departmental budget in alignment with the overall communications strategy.
- Utilise data and insights to map and analyse audience behaviour, informing and optimising communication activities.
- Monitor and evaluate the success of campaigns, tracking performance against strategic KPIs.
GLAN brand
- Oversee the review and redesign of the organisation's website to enhance user experience and engagement.
- Champion and promote the use of GLAN's brand among colleagues, fostering a unified brand identity.

Specific Duties
- Manage a complex caseload across the field of immigration, nationality and asylum law.
- Adhere to casework procedures as outlined in LRMN’s policies, the OISC and / or Solicitors Regulations Authority (SRA) standards and the Advice Quality Standards (AQS).
- Interview and advise clients regarding immigration and asylum law procedure, and practice in a sensitive and professional manner.
- Maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in line with OISC registration or similar professional body, e.g SRA.
- Keep up to date at all times with changes in the law by reading and attending training events relating to asylum and immigration.
- To maintain accurate and detailed case records of clients for the purpose of continuity of casework, information retrieval and statistical monitoring, using Advice Pro as appropriate and as required by management.
- Advocate on behalf of clients by telephone, letter and email with appropriate agencies.
- Produce reports to meet funder’s and LRMN requirements.
- Work closely with the Immigration Manager and/or external evaluator in gathering data and information to produce accurate monitoring and evaluation reports.
- To assist the LRMN in liaising with its partners, funders and to provide statistical information and updates as required.
- Work closely with the Immigration Manager in reviewing files and ensure that corrective actions are undertaken.
- Provide regular supervision to Iimmigration volunteers.
- Allocate immigration tasks appropriate volunteers’ knowledge and skills.

About the role:
We are seeking a Head of Operations to work with the CEO and senior leadership team to manage a broad scope of operational functions, including workplace governance, people management, digital support, data and risk management. The Head of Operations will be a collaborative and hands-on professional with project and people management skills, a track record of operational change management, and the ability to inspire colleagues in new ways of working that ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the Foundation - driving system, quality and process improvements.
Key areas of responsibility include:

- Produce management reports for the CEO and Trustees as required, supporting the Annual Report & Accounts production and Board of Trustees administration.
- Oversee cyber security and coordinate IT support services, including the Foundation’s IT and digital platforms – maintaining licenses, agreements and contracts.
Essential knowledge, skills & experience include:
- Previous experience in a Senior Operations management role, preferably in a charity or not-for-profit setting
- Strong leadership qualities to lead operations and fulfil an executive function
- Reliable with a high level of discretion and integrity – able to deal with sensitive and confidential matters
- Excellent IT and digital skills including Microsoft Office 365. Skilled in using workplace systems including Teams and SharePoint
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of managing compliance and risk, including safeguarding and GDPR – able to identify and respond to organisational risks
- Exceptional people management and coaching skills with experience of managing HR and L&D functions
- Excellent project management and organisational skills, able to multi-task with attention to detail

Job Description
The Finance Manager is responsible for the management and technical support of the Finance function and acts as advisor to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and assists in the development of the organisation’s financial strategy, modelling new projects, preparing budgets and reporting on financial performance.

Person Specification
The post requires the holder to:

Have an appropriate accounting qualification – in full or part (AAT, ICAEW, CIMA or ACCA);

Have a minimum of three years of professional experience, including experience of operating within a not-for-profit organisation (managing accounts for restricted and unrestricted funds);

Be proficient in Xero Online accounting software and Excel spreadsheets, including experience in using Power Query;

Be comfortable with the financial systems typical of a small organisation, including financial monitoring and reporting to a range of different funding sources;

Have some experience of projects finances and understand the financial implications behind an efficient delivery strategy;

Be honest and reliable;

The role of Head of Finance – Treasury and Financial Planning will lead, manage and co-ordinate the provision of the Groups Financial Planning, Treasury Management Services and Management Accounting functions as well as assist the Finance Director to lead and manage the Finance team.
The role:
- Lead, manage and motivate a team of four with two direct reports.
- Lead on all treasury related matters for the group such as arranging new funding, loan compliance, cashflow and banking.

CLAPA supports people affected by cleft to take control of their journey, connect with others, and use their voices to impact the future of care. Our vision is that no one affected by cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom will go through their journey alone.
The Family Services Coordinator is responsible for providing families (parents/carers and children up to ten years) affected by cleft with opportunities to access accurate information, connect with each other and form supportive communities.
