JOB PURPOSE
The Administrative Assistant role provides a range of proactive administrative support to the Director of Fundraising of UK for UNHCR, as well as to the wider fundraising team. This role is therefore a key support in growing funding for refugees and displaced communities.

ROLE RESPONSIBLITIES
- Proactively manages the Fundraising Director’s calendar: scheduling and rearranging internal and external meetings and liaising with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Helps schedule meetings for the various fundraising teams.
- Books meeting rooms for internal and external meetings, ensuring any required technology is set up.
- Ensures briefings for Director of Fundraising are received in advance of meetings.
- Registers in-person external guests to the office and ensures they are welcomed.
- Books travel arrangements for the Director of Fundraising and heads of fundraising.
- Minutes meetings, including documenting and sending out summary of decisions made and next steps from internal meetings.
- Updates partner information in our database (Salesforce).
- Maintains files and records on SharePoint.
- Manages invites and guestlists for donor events.
- Leads on organising logistics for twice annual fundraising all staff strategy away days.
- Coordinates with colleagues to secure content and information for donor materials (newsletters, proposals, reports).
- Helps create template documents for donors (for example, thank you emails/letters).
- Collates documentation for purchase orders and invoices.
- Builds and manages positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identifies any administrative processes that could be simplified or made more efficient.
- Appropriately manages any confidential information.
- Supports other directors and fundraising colleagues on administrative activities.
- Performs other appropriate tasks or duties as required.

About the role
This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work in Oasis Academy Hadley and Lilian Baylis Technology School.
The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteer tutors, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of the programme is optimised.
Role responsibilities
- Work directly with students in a professional and safe manner
- Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme
- Match students with volunteer tutors
- Monitor student attendance to tutorials and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance
- Assess student progress towards being able to make successful university applications
- Upload information onto the Salesforce database (training is provided)
- Monitor the impact of tutorials, and intervene as appropriate
- Build and manage relationships with volunteer tutors to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme
- Manage tutor attendance to tutorials through weekly monitoring systems
- Work with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities contributing to the smooth running of the programme
- Chair and present at termly school meetings with Senior Management to report on programme progress.
- University Access Officers support the volunteering team by helping to deliver tutor training sessions, and attending university site visits, which take place on occasional Saturdays and weekday evenings (paid time off is provided).

Training and Development
You will be provided with regular monthly training so that you can develop your skills and succeed in the role. There is support from your line manager (Programme Manager), as well as guidance from more senior University Access Officers and the wider University Access Officer team across The Access Project. The NSPCC’s purpose is to prevent child abuse and neglect of children across the UK and Channel Islands. Our services help children who’ve been abused, protect children at risk and find the best ways to prevent child abuse from ever happening. The NSPCC is delivering our Letting the Future In service within The Lighthouse in Camden, the UK’s first Child House. This multi-disciplinary innovative service provides physical and emotional health assessment, criminal justice and advocacy support and a range of therapeutic interventions to children and young people, following the disclosure of sexual abuse.

Main duties and responsibilities

Back Up’s mentoring service is there to help. We know that peer support can have a life changing impact and our Mentoring Team are the ones who can facilitate this through matching them with a suitable mentor who will be able to support them over a series of phone calls to reach their goals. The Mentoring Team Leader leads the team through providing excellent line management and driving the delivery of the team’s business plans to empower the team to ultimately support more people affected by spinal cord injury
In addition to leading the team, a Mentoring Team Lead will assist in creating mentoring relationships and support mentors and mentees as appropriate, assess mentee suitability and provide support in the process of identifying, recruiting and training new mentors.
A Mentoring Team Lead will be motivated to achieve the aims, targets and milestones that have been set in terms of making quality matches and will be comfortable and efficient with data management and GDPR compliance.

You will be ready to inspire our team of 18 people, our Board of Trustees and a network of philanthropic individuals, families and businesses in Kent and Medway. You’ll be a strong advocate for the voluntary sector, passionate about delivering better social outcomes in local communities and seek to build on the Foundation’s reputation as a leading funder.
In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with the Board of Trustees to deliver Kent Community Foundation’s long-term strategy, budget, and business plan. The role involves building strong relationships with donors, funders, and stakeholders to expand our impact and income. You will ensure the organisation operates efficiently and achieves its ambitious goals. Additionally, you will monitor key indicators including financial health, while representing Kent Community Foundation at external events and in the media to enhance its reputation.
The ideal candidate will have proven leadership and relationship-building skills, with experience in major donor fundraising, business development, or driving sales growth. Financial acumen, innovative thinking, and a passion for empowering communities are essential, alongside a commitment to Kent Community Foundation’s core values.
