Location: Crisis Skylight London, 50-52 Commercial St, E1 6LT. There may also be a need for some UK travel. Some working from home is an option in line with Crisis’ Hybrid Working Policy however onsite presence is a key requirement of this role – with a minimum of four days per week at the London Skylight.

The Structured Coaching team, work within a Lead Worker model, collaboratively working with members to create pathways out of homelessness, empowering members to achieve their goals and equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to continue this beyond their time with Crisis.
You will lead a team of experienced Operations Managers and Lead Workers to continue to drive the outcomes our members deserve. The team have consistently hit outcomes for the past few years, and we want to drive that further forward through our new strategic goals impacting our members and the communities around us.
As Head of Structured Coaching, you will be part of the Crisis Skylight London leadership team, empowering and enabling staff to constructively contribute to, develop and achieve the aims and objectives of the service. You will also identify and develop opportunities for effective partnerships work, so that our members have strong pathways to the community-based specialist services and support they need as part of their journey out of homelessness.

As the Senior MEL Officer in the MEL team, you will support the Head of Impact & Learning and the MEL Manager, as well as the Programmes & Impact department and wider team, to measure and analyse the quality and impact of our programming. You’ll use your strong organisation skills, experience in data collection and analysis, and ability to identify key trends and impact in our work. You will also work with colleagues across the organisation to ensure that our impact and expertise in working with women entrepreneurs is measured and communicated accurately and effectively to our Board of Trustees and external stakeholders.
Department purpose
This role sits within the Programmes & Impact department, which is responsible for the development and delivery of our programmes and services, ensuring they are delivered to a high quality, remain responsive to women entrepreneurs’ needs and have demonstrable impact. The department is divided into three teams: Entrepreneurship, which is responsible for delivery of services such as HerVenture and the four ‘Road to’ programmes, Mentoring, which is responsible for development and delivery of the Mentoring Women in Business programme, and MEL, which is responsible for quality impact measurement, analysis and research.
Key responsibilities
Main obligations
- Support the development and implementation of MEL systems and tools across Mentoring and Entrepreneurship projects, providing the Foundation with the necessary information to understand our impact and inform programme improvements.
- Support in collection and analysis of organisational KPIs and provide overall operational support for the MEL team.
Specific responsibilities
- Programme Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning
- Ensure up-to-date programme monitoring and evaluation materials (surveys, data collection tools and theoretical frameworks) are in place for existing programmes as well as those that are in development.
- In collaboration with colleagues in the Mentoring and Entrepreneurship teams, execute the annual calendar of programme and partner surveys, including uploading and testing the surveys.
- Develop analysis plans aligned to key research questions, programme goals and logical frameworks.
- Collect, clean and analyse quantitative and qualitative programme data aligned to programme goals, logical frameworks, organisational KPIs, and general summaries of findings.
- Collaborate with colleagues on the Mentoring and Entrepreneurship teams to support dissemination of programme findings and cross-site trends internally and externally.
Research and Evaluation
- Provide administrative, logistical and analytical support for programme evaluation and in-country data collection.
- Conduct desk research to support programme implementation and/or provide background and context for research and evaluation findings.
- Collect, clean and analyse data for Foundation-led or commissioned research and evaluations.
- Support development of tools and protocols for qualitative data collection, and conduct remote and in-country fieldwork, as needed.

- Attend and document monthly MEL meetings with colleagues in the Entrepreneurship and Mentoring teams.

Person specification

Barnardo's are recruiting several practitioners to be involved in the delivery of an innovative project to introduce a new parenting intervention to address youth violence into the UK.
We are looking for enthusiastic practitioners with experience of working with young people and their families preferably within the context of serious youth violence. The Philanthropy Manager role is varied, and alongside managing a portfolio of warm donors and prospects and securing five and six-figure gifts, there will be opportunities to lead on fundraising campaigns, events and other key projects. Other parts of the role include actively seeking new business working with our prospect researcher, building relationships to support and facilitate peer-to-peer giving, and finding new and creative ways to engage both new and existing donors in Crisis’ work. Creating compelling proposals, cases for support, reports and other bespoke communications will also be required. The successful candidate will manage, coach, and inspire the Philanthropy Administrator, and support them with their workload.

Introduction
Retail and Volunteers Team: Our Retail and Volunteers Team manages our charity shops and volunteer programs, which play a crucial role in supporting our mission. They recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to staff our shops and assist with various tasks, such as sorting donations and serving customers. Additionally, they oversee the operations of our retail outlets, ensuring that they are efficiently run to generate income for our hospices.
Part 1: Job Profile
a) Main purpose of job
In the absence of the manager or assistant managers to lead a team of volunteers to maximise sales, deliver excellent customer service and ensure that the shop premises and assets are maintained to a high standard, according to legal requirements and Shooting Star Children’s Hospices (SSCH) policies and procedures.
Decision Making Authority
The post holder will be required to make decisions on the quality, and suitability of donations before they are placed on sale. Depending on the length of the cover period they may be required to dress the windows. (They will follow price guidelines and existing display layout throughout the shop.)
The post holder will work with eCommerce Manager to decide if items would be suitable for selling at a higher price on eBay or through a promotional event and set these aside for the manager of the shop to deal with on their return.

City Harvest – Trusts and Foundations Manager
Location: Acton, London W3. Flexible working by agreement.
Salary: £38,000 - £46,000 per annum depending on experience.

City Harvest, the charity rescuing food to feed people and protect the planet, is seeking an experienced trusts and foundations fundraiser to secure new income from trusts and foundations, and manage a range of existing donors.
Since 2014, City Harvest has been working to solve food poverty and food waste across London. Every week, the charity rescues over 100 tonnes of surplus food from the food industry. Staff and volunteers sort and package this food, and our vans deliver it, free of charge, six days per week to over 375 community partners across 30 London boroughs. The organisation provides over 1.1 million meals monthly, with 43% of their deliveries made up of fresh fruit and vegetables.
The role of Trusts and Foundations Manager will work with the Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager to deliver City Harvest’s ambitious targets for trust and foundations income in 2024/25 and beyond. The post-holder will be responsible for proactively researching and exploring new avenues for funding and building a strong pipeline of new donors who have the potential to support the charity.
Key to the post, will be building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders at trusts and foundations and preparing and delivering targeted funding applications to those organisations. Working with the Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager, the post will also involve developing an compelling organisational case for support and a range of highly fundable initiatives for City Harvest.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working in this area for at least two different causes, alongside a proven track record of successful income generation and delivering against targets. You will have demonstratable experience in proposal writing and in building relationships with donors and senior stakeholders. You will also have a background in report writing demonstrating grant impact. Excellent written communication, administration and problem-solving skills will be combined with the ability to collaborate with multiple teams. Finally you will have a commitment to the core values and ethos of City Harvest.

Role Purpose
We are seeking an organised and proactive Engagement Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Programme Teams and Engagement Team to design and execute impactful events, and support communications. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about delivering exceptional event experiences.
Key responsibilities will include:
Events
· Work closely with the Senior Events Manager and Events Manager to manage and deliver a number of events from conception to completion.
· Take ownership and manage the administration of all event admin.
· Lead on all elements of guest correspondence including guestlist collation, managing the RSVP inbox, overseeing development of guest communication, and managing guest registration at events.
· Team lead for Salesforce.
· Overseeing the design development of key event materials.
Please note that this role will involve some occasional UK and International travel.
Comms
· Take ownership of The Royal Foundation calendars and planners
· Provide administrative support for communication and event activity
· Creating PowerPoint decks for Communication or Events team
Knowledge, experience, and personal qualities
· Ability to manage tasks with numerous dependencies.
· Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and work with multiple teams.
· Capable of delivering exceptional work at a fast pace in complex environments and balancing a large number of different stakeholders and priorities at once.
Knowledge and experience (all essential)
· Experience delivering events (essential)
· Experience working in communications/campaigns (desirable)
· Experience using Salesforce (desirable)
Personal qualities (all essential)
· Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
· Self-starter and independent thinker; able to solve problems and instigate solutions.
· Take initiative and responsibility for their own workload.

The Role

For those who are older and disabled it is a great challenge to maintain the relationships and activities that have supported them through life. As engagement leads at Hammerson House it is our challenge to help them do so and, taking a person centred approach, results in a wide and ever shifting variety of activities and individual interventions for our residents. We are a large and innovative organisation that is always trying to develop new ways to foster community and connect our residents with what matters to them.
We are specifically looking for a new member of the team to work with our residents living with dementia and while this does present particular challenges the rewards are also particularly high.
This is a job of tremendous variety and possibilities and requires individuals who have the energy, people skills and logistical know-how to bring the right ideas to fruition. Experience of working in care is not a necessity and we would welcome candidates with a diverse range of people-facing experiences and those with creative backgrounds. Experience of supporting people with dementia or other neurological conditions would be desirable.
Hours
Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
Salary
£30,000 per annum for the full time role
