Your role

We are looking to appoint a Fundraising Officer to join our highly successful fundraising team. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your career in both fundraising and in the third sector. What to expect in a fundraising role?
The Fundraising Officer role is a fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same.
A typical day will have different meetings, priorities and team projects. Corporate and University partnerships often involve supporting several different areas of a business or university with varying content, ideas and stewardship, including hosting supporters at our learning centres. Each fundraising area meets regularly to discuss challenges, new ideas and improvements, and the broader fundraising team meets monthly to reflect on progress to date and plan for the rest of the year ahead.
This role will also involve working with colleagues at our centres across the UK to organise workshops that are hosted and/or supported by our corporate and university partners, getting to know our different teams and helping thousands of young people to access vital learning and skillset opportunities each year.

Role Outline
This new role for Citizens Advice Bucks provides a great opportunity for someone to join our supportive fundraising team at an exciting time when we look to expand the way in which we engage our local community and fundraise. Chance to Shine is an independent children’s charity. We change young people’s lives through cricket giving them the opportunity to play, learn and develop through the sport. We keep them physically active, teach them vital skills like teamwork, communication and leadership. And above all, they have fun.
Since 2005 our Chance to Shine Schools programme has helped reverse the decline of cricket in state schools with millions of boys and girls in over 13,000 state schools playing and learning through cricket. Chance to Shine Street supports young people in under-served communities to access and benefit from cricket in a free, inclusive, fun and fast-paced tape ball environment.
Purpose of the Role
A key part of Chance to Shine’s Communications department, this role will have help to drive awareness of the charity – communicating our mission, vision and messages to key audiences.
Principal Responsibilities
The Communications Officer will support include the following areas:
- To offer support on a range of diverse projects and events to increase the profile and awareness of Chance to Shine
- To help with the planning, execution and analysis of communications and marketing campaigns throughout the year
- To help manage the Chance to Shine brand internally and externally – including both written and visual brand guidelines
- Supporting the Director of Communications and Digital and the Fundraising team with the activation of corporate and funding partners
- Assisting with media liaison and monitoring including but not limited to:

About the role
As Crisis’ Media Officer, you will play a key role in securing impactful media coverage that inspires the public and politicians to join our fight to end homelessness by raising awareness of our influencing campaigns and fundraising events. You will help to build Crisis’ profile by bringing to life our work, demonstrating how we end people’s homelessness for good through education, training and support with housing, employment, and health.
Your role will be creative and varied. You’ll work with our frontline staff to identify people facing homelessness who want to share their stories and empower them to do so. At Crisis we always champion the voices and experiences of the people who we support. You’ll help create bold and hard-hitting news stories to engage our audiences and bring to life some of our biggest organisational campaigns, like our annual Christmas appeal. About this role:
This role is a remote role (must be in England or Wales) within a supportive and friendly team. As the Fundraising Officer for Community and Events you will:
- Support the delivery of a successful fundraising plan that aligns with Victim Support's vision, mission and values.

Purpose of the post: You will be the sole role for the Charity’s finances and will support our small team in a vibrant, prolific and growing organisation which provides quality assurance and membership services to institutions delivering training, education and assessment in dance, drama and musical theatre.

Employment Details
Contract type
This contracted post is fixed term until March 2025 with the possibility of extension and is 35 hours per week. We welcome application for flexible working including reduced hours and other flexible working arrangements.

Salary
Between £28,840 and £31,930 Plus 5% employer pension contribution.
