The TSA is seeking a highly experienced, confident and capable Head of Fundraising to provide leadership and direction on all aspects of income generation. The charity has gone from strength to strength over the last 24 months, including income generation, and we are looking for an experienced fundraising professional to continue this amazing work.
Working closely with the TSA’s Joint Chief Executives, you’ll join the Senior Management Team and will be expected to successfully implement our new three-year fundraising strategy, which aims to diversify and raise income in a sensible yet ambitious way.
You’ll have a genuine passion about making a difference and working with a range of different people to increase income across multiple streams. Head of Fundraising responsibilities
Strategic, leadership and management

Provide leadership for fundraising and income generation across the TSA team. Attend regular strategy meetings and be a leading voice in shaping the TSA’s income generation activities

Lead in the development, implementation and review of fundraising polices and strategy ensuring they are in line with the overall organisation business plan

Provide line management for the Fundraising Manager and Grants and Trusts Manager, including regular meetings and ensuring that the fundraising team are fulfilling all areas of their roles, meeting agreed KPI’s and achieving set income targets

Lead on the annual business planning and budget cycle for the income generation

Effectively collect and analyse data to demonstrate income trends, the impact of fundraising and income generation. Use this data to inform quarterly reports to the Board of Trustees, determine the impact of the team’s work and drive continual improvements in policy and practice

Attend and actively contribute to weekly TSA team meetings
Income Generation and partnership

Lead on all income generation activities, with a focus on developing new fundraising initiatives for corporate giving, major donor fundraising, legacy giving and TSA appeals

Develop and deliver short and long-term fundraising and partnership strategy for the TSA. Ensure that the TSA has a balanced portfolio, and the fundraising team successfully delivers income across multiple streams

Working closely with the Joint Chief Executives and Grants and Trusts Manager, expand the TSA’s range of research funding sources to include public, academic, commercial and innovation funding alongside investment from the TSA itself

Accurately forecast and monitor against income generation targets

Job Description
- Provides individualised support for interns at the host business worksite placement or competitive job which includes: job coaching, identifying job placements, assistive technology, etc.
- Attends host business induction to ensure student understanding and learning
- Works with managers and co-workers to educate on disability awareness

- Visits students and give feedback to all team members
- Meets daily with tutor to discuss student progress

We are delighted that you are interested in joining the Social Impact Fast Track. In the first year of your programme you will join the team as an Analyst and, subject to successful completion of year one, in year two you will progress to Senior Analyst. During your two-year programme you will work within at least two of our organisational practices. You will work directly with our partners, understanding their needs and supporting them to maximise their impact. During the programme you will also lead pro-bono projects for our corporate social responsibility partners.
In addition to gaining experience with our partners and within our teams, you will undertake a structured learning and development programme which includes mentoring from one of our Group Directors, and regular learning and development sessions including a dedicated professional development budget. Between years one and two you will receive a two-week paid break and a budget of up to £1500 to complete a research project on ‘Impact and Sustainability’ and report your findings back to representatives of our Group Board. You will also have the opportunity to have a two-week placement in one of our partner organisations, to help you develop your professional skill set. At the end of the programme we expect a number of participants to apply for and progress into our Officer and Manager roles, or look to secure positions with our partners or other like minded social purpose organisations.

Role Requirements
The role holder will assist in maintaining high standards of professional competence and integrity in the finance team and play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Finance in running the overall finance department.
Oversight of the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger
Responsibility for internal controls; prompt reconciliations of control accounts, separation of duties, and compliance with proscribed systems of authorisation

This role supports the Business and Industry team at EngineeringUK – we work with our network of Corporate Members, Professional Engineering Institutions and others who fund our work in education and with young people, including the annual Big Bang Fair.

About the role
The Corporate Relationships Executive provides administrative solutions and support to the Business and Industry (B&I) team, with a particular focus on supporting our work with Corporate Members. Reporting into the Head of Corporate Relationships, this role works closely with the Head and three Corporate Relationships Managers, and the wider B&I team, to ensure the smooth running of our membership network and other stakeholder relationships. This includes taking the lead on planning and drafting all communications, event and meeting management, project managing the development of new materials, and being a point of contact for our members internally and externally.
The role is London based at the EngineeringUK offices at 10 Lower Thames Street, London EC3R 6EN and will involve some (approximately quarterly) travel in the UK (including overnight). We believe that hybrid working has many benefits and are pleased to offer flexible working with a minimum of 2 days (or 40%) a week in the office and core hours of 10am to 4pm.

Essential skills/competencies
· Strong administrator with ability to suggest and implement improvements to processes
· Track record of high-quality event and meeting management
· Ability to work across a team and wider organisation, with many relationships managed virtually
· Experience using all Microsoft systems, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
· Good quality writing skills, with ability to write concisely and clearly
· Experience of managing a varied workload and organising your time effectively
· Good research skills, with ability to synthesise information quickly.

Education/level of experience
· There are no firm requirements but this role will suit someone with a few years of relevant experience

· Experience of STEM outreach, working with young people, and working with businesses would all be advantageous but not essential

Are you enthusiastic, highly motivated and organised? Would you like the opportunity to work in a busy Fundraising and Engagement Team?
We are looking to recruit a dynamic and creative Fundraising Officer to build on the development and growth of income through local communities across Surrey. Using your fundraising experience and knowledge, you will research, approach and secure new partnerships as well as manage existing relationships, to drive unrestricted income for the charity. You will build on our existing Community Fundraising programme to maximise income and engagement.
Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey is a county-wide charity supporting people of all ages who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted, and deafblind. We have been supporting Surrey residents for over 100 years. Our main office base is in Fetcham, near Leatherhead, and our team of staff and volunteers work out in the community across the county.
The post holder will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to prioritise effectively and manage a busy and varied workload. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated and ambitious team, and to play an integral role in growing fundraising activity across Surrey.
Job Purpose:
The post holder must have a minimum of two years fundraising experience and use their initiative, personal presence and drive to support all fundraising activity to achieve a substantial increase in unrestricted income.
Principle Accountabilities:
· Research, identify, approach and secure new partnership opportunities
· Provide excellent account management to new and existing partners in order to meet key fundraising and engagement objectives
· Work collaboratively to generate income from partners through creative fundraising initiatives
· Represent the charity at local functions and give presentations when required
· Create engaging assets for applications and pitch presentations
· Support individuals and organisations fundraising for the charity
· Maintain accurate and up to date record keeping of written and oral communication with supporters.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
