A little bit about the role
This role will be closing at 5pm on Friday 18 October.
The Delivery Officer coordinates meetings, events and training on behalf of the region. This includes sourcing of venues, coordinating and tracking attendance of participants, liaising with other teams to ensure the smooth running of events and where necessary, note-taking in meetings and acting as a point of contact for the team, participants and Consultant Social Workers.
This role has a high level of autonomy and the potential for significant skills development. The Delivery Officer is crucial in supporting the work of the wider team by supporting colleagues to ensure the efficient use of resources and scheduling that achieves the smooth delivery of the Approach Social Work Programme across the regional hubs.
The role requires someone who is skilled at building positive relationships with people in addition to being highly organised with the ability to manage multiple areas of work and use initiative to resolve issues. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy is also essential.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and organise meetings and bookings as required, including collating agendas, and taking notes as required.
- Help design, plan, budget and manage regional (and sometimes national) events, both online and in-person.
- Manage the procurement process for Teaching Day venues.
- Generate analytics and reports and present updates at relevant meetings.
A little bit about you
This role will suit an experienced administrator who enjoys working autonomously and organising events to a high standard. The panel will be looking for candidates to demonstrate strong time management, organisation and relationship-building skills.

The Assessment Coordinator is the conduit for young people to access the youth accommodation pathway in Greenwich. The Ukraine Humanitarian appeal raised £426 million and helped an estimated 6.9 million people in Ukraine and neighbouring countries. The Grants Manager is integral in working closely with DEC colleagues and members to build and sustain, a solid understanding of the evolving humanitarian context. The Grants Manager will maintain strong oversight of the DEC funded programme including the reporting cycle, adaptive programming and facilitate strong and relevant engagement with DEC member charities and local partners and external briefings over the duration of the response.

The Role

As our Trusts Fundraising Officer, you’ll be an inspiring storyteller whose enthusiasm for our work shines through in your writing. You’ll play a key role in researching new funders, crafting compelling funding applications, and ensuring we meet reporting requirements for existing supporters.

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.
Absolutely central to this is designing, commissioning and managing complex and rigorous impact evaluations with experts in the field. The new government has an ambition to halve knife crime within a decade, and we’re anticipating opportunities to work with them to build evidence on new approaches to tackling violence involving children. Serve as a senior member of the team. YEF is buzzing with activity and in order to prevent any bottlenecks, we need to expand our senior capacity.

Run and manage closed calls for complex evaluations commissioned under Targeted Projects. For each of the programmes we work with, we find and appoint independent evaluators.

Expertly manage relationships with key stakeholders. Aside from evaluators, we work closely with other grantees and partners.

Provide support and counsel to our team of Senior Evaluation Managers and Evaluation Managers. This team closely manages over 35 efficacy trials, over 20 pilot studies and even more in the earlier stages of evaluation.

In this new, impactful role, you will be responsible for mobilising and subsequently continuously improving a new network engagement and support function. The aim of the function is to significantly enhance the understanding the of needs, views and priorities of local Age UKs and the way in which the national organisation connects with, engages, and supports them.
Working collaboratively with local Age UKs and national teams, the Director of Network Engagement & Support will be responsible for developing and implementing a network engagement and support strategy. This includes driving forward changes that may include the type of support provided, the way in which it is delivered and how it is monitored and measured to ensure our approach is responsive, sustainable and supports the strategic objectives and operational needs of the network.
This will require collaborative working across a range of teams to ensure a coherent and coordinated approach. This role and team will engage directly with local Age UK leadership, be the owner of the organisational overview of the network and network interactions, ensuring risks and issues are appropriately managed and that there is an effective and transparent flow of information across the organisation and network including into formal governance mechanisms.
The Director of Network Engagement & Support will ensure the effective delivery and operation of several formal and informal network engagement activities, for example Chief Officer induction. Whilst taking responsibility for providing team strategic direction and management to achieve objectives, the role holder is also expected to be a visible and constructive participant within both the wider Age UK senior management team and the senior team of the Network division.
