About us
Who we are
Vision
Make Hammersmith & Fulham the best place in London to be a young person.
Mission
Support our Membership to provide meaningful and memorable opportunities for young people.
The lack of adequate support services and funding for the children and young people’s sector has negatively impacted the local offer over the past fifteen years. This has created a broader gap in accessing support for those children and young people who are the most economically disadvantaged. Organisations in the Voluntary Sector have experienced a significantly reduced flow of funding to frontline services, especially for small and medium-sized, locally-based organisations. This harms the stability, range, and type of services offered to our children and young people in Hammersmith and Fulham.
This is where the Young Hammersmith and Fulham Foundation comes in!
The local not-for-profit sector locally, who provide much-needed services, continues to face many challenges, and our broader Membership has highlighted their need for help in the following key areas:
MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
YHFF needs to provide a support network and increase the capacity of an overstretched membership by delivering workforce development, training, qualifications, and brokering connections.
FUNDED PARTNERSHIPS & GRANTS
YHFF needs to secure funds to unlock the potential of organisations working together in funded partnerships and to secure funds to manage our grant-giving capability to allow for existing priorities and emerging needs to be met effectively and efficiently.
YOUTH VOICE AND POLICY
YHFF needs to support the voices of children and young people to be heard and drive the change that meets their wants, needs, and rights. Members, partners, and funders can increase their network and outreach with children and young people. Giving agency to young people is a bedrock for setting cross-sector strategies and priorities in H&F.
