Yorkshire Funders

Who we are

Yorkshire Funders is a charitable membership network that has been connecting and supporting grantmakers across the region for over 30 years. Our members are from grantmaking organisations from Yorkshire and beyond, local funding organisations of all sizes and from all sectors.  We organise events, facilitate networking, and share best practices, enabling funders to think, share, learn and act together effectively. Through our training, resources, and advocacy, we help members stay informed and engaged, ensuring their support creates lasting positive change in the communities they serve.

Our culture and values

Yorkshire Funders Mission: Our mission is to connect and empower grantmakers across Yorkshire, fostering connections and knowledge-sharing to enhance funding opportunities. We aim to strengthen the Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise sector, improving lives and communities through collective action, advocacy, and support. Together, we drive positive change for the region.

Our values are to be:

Impactful - every initiative is designed to create meaningful change in communities, ensuring that funding improves lives across Yorkshire.

Evidence based - our approach is grounded in listening to our members and the wider VCSE community. It uses and promotes research and proven strategies to guide our decision-making.

Independent & interdependent - we maintain independence as a trusted voice in the sector while fostering interdependence through strong partnerships with funders and stakeholders.

·Professional - we uphold the highest standards of integrity, delivering high-quality, accessible & engaging events, training and support to our members with dedication and expertise.
