Who we are

Yorkshire Dance creates opportunities for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to benefit from seeing, making and taking part in high quality dance.

We have a small team of 17 permanent staff based in our building in central Leeds, which also hosts 3 dance studios and rents out office spaces and meeting rooms.

The majority of our dance sessions take place in the community around Leeds and Bradford; we specialise in working with older adults, young people and adults with learning disabilities who face barriers which prevent them accessing dance.

We work with artists across the region to support them to make new work and develop in their careers.

We run 2 festivals a year and host one-off performance events. We work with artists and dance sector partners across Yorkshire to develop new dance opportunities.
