About us
Who we are
Inspiring Futures: YMCA Manchester delivers free support, training, and development programmes for Salford residents (aged 16-24) who care for someone with an illness, physical or mental disability, mentally ill health or a substance misuse issue.
Our free support and development programmes cover topics such as personal development, health and well-being, employability, education and training. Young adults will have the opportunity to access many qualifications; the programmes available are flexible and are designed to fit around their availability and responsibilities as a carer.
Young adult carers will be offered one to one sessions with a project mentor who will support them to find out what’s important to them and help set some goals to keep them motivated. The mentor will also help them to find other people, activities and services that can support and encourage them along the way.
