About us
Who we are
The Springfield Project is a thriving faith-based charity serving the community of Sparkhill and beyond. The Springfield Project has grown from the small seed of a community stay and play group run by St Christopher’s Church, to a thriving project which served 7000 people in the last year, with a turnover of £1.3 million.
Our frontline practitioners provide a range of services and activities for children and families who face social and economic disadvantage. Staff and volunteers are deeply rooted within this diverse community and embrace the unique space that we occupy in this inter-faith and inter-cultural environment.
Our mission is rooted in the Church’s aim to realise “God’s love in our community”. In today’s incredibly divided world, this heritage and our role as mission partner for the Church support our passion for facing the challenges of our super-diverse city and for working together with the community to affect change and support residents to thrive. Our work is an expression of our values which are shared by trustees, staff and volunteers who come from diverse backgrounds and beliefs.
