About us
Who we are
World Child Cancer sets up twinning partnerships between healthcare professionals from hospitals in high income countries with hospitals in low- and middle-income countries. These partnerships provide expertise, which in turn builds the capacity and knowledge of doctors and nurses in country. World Child Cancer partners with hospitals in Bangladesh, Cameroon, Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Kosovo, Malawi, Mexico, Myanmar, Philippines, Vietnam, and Wilms Tumour Africa.
As well as the twinning partnerships, World Child Cancer has a holistic approach to supporting children with cancer. This includes supporting treatment costs, nutritional supplements, transport costs, advocacy initiatives (such as events and radio adverts to raise awareness of the early warning signs of cancer), medical equipment and essential staff roles.
