Who we are

West of England Care and Repair (WECR) is the largest independent home improvement agency in the country.  It was established in 1986 as Bristol Care & Repair (BC&R) but changed its name to West of England Care & Repair in March 2011 to reflect how it was providing services across a wider geographical area than Bristol. Its core purpose continues to be enabling older and disabled owner occupiers to remain living independently in their own homes.  

Our work to improve homes includes increased independence, improved physical, mental and emotional wellbeing, improved safety and security and improved warmth.

We are committed to learning, improving and working in partnerships in order to have a bigger impact on improving the quality of people’s lives.

To improve the quality, safety and suitability of more of the homes of people who may be older, on low incomes or who are disabled.
