Our vision
We ensure that all children and young people in Wandsworth have access to inspiring, enjoyable and brilliant music education
Our Mission
We provide children and young people with access to high-quality, inclusive and affordable music education, both directly or by supporting schools.
We want all children and young people to have the opportunity to find their musical voice, develop their personal and social confidence, progress on their musical journey and fulfil their musical talents and potential.
About Wandsworth Music
As an independent and inclusive charity, Wandsworth Music delivers excellence in music education and performance to more than 8,000 children and young people every year. We provide opportunities for young people to learn musical instruments and sing; perform in a range of bands, ensembles and choirs; work and perform alongside acclaimed professional musicians and ensembles, and most importantly develop a lifelong love of music.
Our young musicians are able to perform in an exciting and varied schedule of concerts and events and have opportunities to work alongside some of the best musicians in the world. Recently our your young musicians have worked with Sheku Kanneh-Mason, YolanDa Brown, Jess Gillam, the Phiharmonia Orchestra, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and The National Opera Studio.
We regularly perform at world renowned venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Fairfield Halls, The Bedford and Wimbledon Tennis Championships. Most recently, In March 2023, 1,650 young people from Wandsworth performed in front of a sold out audience at the Royal Albert Hall.
