About us
Who we are
We are a self-funded youth charity based on the river near Putney Bridge since 1948. We work with 25 young people aged 10-18, helping them them develop skills and qualifications through waterborne adventure and training.
As well as handling boats, sailing and canoeing cadets also study navigation, the weather and a wide range of other practical skills.
Our cadets come from all backgrounds and go on to careers on the river, in the emergency and uniformed services as well as to university and college. They love their time with us and many come back to serve as instructors later in life.
