About us

Who we are

At VETERANS WITH DOGS, we are a pioneering charity dedicated to transforming the lives of veterans facing the invisible wounds of war.

Our mission is to provide life-changing support through our innovative Partner Animal Life Skills (PALS) Programme, helping veterans heal and regain independence.

We harness the transformative power of the human-canine bond to restore hope, independence, and well-being to those who have served our nation. Our team combines dog trainers, behavioural specialists, and mental health professionals to create tailored support systems for each veteran.

Our culture and values

Our culture at VETERANS WITH DOGS is rooted in three core values: Respect, Care, and Compassion.

These values guide every aspect of our work, from the bond-based approach in our training methods to our commitment to continuous improvement and research.

We believe in fostering a strong and positive presence in the world, ensuring that both our dogs and veterans lead lives filled with joy, confidence, and purpose. Our collaborative environment encourages open communication, empathy, and a shared passion for empowering veterans through the extraordinary bond with their canine partners.

Equality, diversity and inclusion policy

At VETERANS WITH DOGS, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment that values diversity and promotes equality for all.

Our policy ensures that every individual, whether they are a veteran, staff member, volunteer, or supporter, feels respected and valued. We strive to eliminate discrimination and promote equal opportunities in all aspects of our work, including recruitment, training, and service delivery.

We welcome applications from neurodivergent candidates and those with hidden disabilities, reflecting our belief in the strength that diversity brings to our mission. Our goal is to foster a culture where everyone can thrive and contribute to transforming the lives of veterans.
