United Way is the world's largest privately-funded non-profit organisation. Founded more than 125 years ago, we are an organisation that has evolved to meet the needs of the times. 

We are the problem-solvers, the hand-raisers, the game-changers. We fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in every community. We create positive and permanent change by forging effective partnerships, finding innovative solutions to complex problems and mobilising existing resources within communities.

United Way is present in 40 countries and impact the lives of 61 million people every year. We can do this because we have spent more than a century developing deep roots and trust in the communities we serve. That strong foundation provides us with the resources, reputation, and relationships needed to bring people and organisations together around innovative solutions.

United Way UK was established in 2014 as a national charity with the aim of providing support to local communities to ensure every family and every individual can reach their full potential through good education, financial stability, and healthy lives. We encourage people and organisations to support the local communities in which they live, work, and raise their children, through recognising each community's specific needs, resources and expertise.
