About us
Who we are
United Social Ventures (UK Charity No. 1158935) is a nonprofit venture builder for innovative social startups at the start of their journeys. We believe the best way to create sustainable, game-changing impact is to support local changemakers to lead social startups. So, we coach and consult with young changemakers in Uganda to design, build, and grow social startups to get across the “Pioneer Gap”. Entrepreneurs love this offering because we’re invested in their success, give bespoke guidance to them, and our coaches are continuously available and relatable.
Started by graduates from Oxford and Makerere universities, over the past few years we’ve helped a network of 180 ventures raise over $6.7M through collaborations on different incubation programs. We believe that in the next decade we will be able to extend this model globally to tens-of-thousands of changemakers.
