UNA Exchange

Who we are

UNA Exchange is a Cardiff-based charity that for 45 years has facilitated international exchanges to and from Wales: empowering individuals to take part in a variety of voluntary service projects that develop communities, protect the historic and natural environments and promote inter-cultural understanding.

Aimed predominately at young people aged 18–30, we provide opportunities ranging from two-week residentials through to 12-month overseas placements. We also run a programme of supported volunteering for young people furthest from the labour market and most at risk of social exclusion.

Through membership of the Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations and the UNESCO-affiliated Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service we partner with 100s of not-for-profit organisations around the world that work to develop and empower local communities.
