Who we are

Our Vision: UKSA believes that every person with a learning disability should have the same opportunities in sport as non-disabled people. Our vision is a society that enables people with learning disability to excel and achieve their full potential in the sport of their choice. UKSA’s focus is on performance which includes strengthening pathways, collaborative working, the pursuit of excellence, influencing policy, advocating change and challenging outdated approaches. This unilateral approach ultimately ensures that athletes who demonstrate the ability have the opportunity to compete at an elite level.
