Who we are

In a classroom setting, children don’t always have the space to discover what they’re truly capable of. We know learning can be different. At Ufton Court, children are free to try new things, be themselves and express how they feel, helping them grow up more confident, curious and capable. Our team of skilled educators know how to bring out the best in all children, whatever their needs and whoever they are. Nature-based learning improves learning in the classroom, benefitting behaviour, attendance and confidence. If more children could learn this way, we could turn the tide on the 10-year decline in children’s happiness. Childhood is short and we must act today! Can you help us?

We’ve come a long way since 2006 and our progress would not have been possible without our team – past and present. We’ve welcomed hundreds of thousands of children to Ufton Court, helping them to connect with nature, history and the world around them.  Our programmes continue to adapt to the changing needs of children, ensuring we reach those who need us most.

Our team is small but mighty, attracting people from all backgrounds and skills. We believe that everyone can succeed whether tending to our gardens, welcoming children with a hearty meal, working directly with children to help them learn about life, nature and history or steering the strategic direction of Ufton Court.
