About us
Who we are
Transform MS is a Community Interest Company (CIC) established in 2019 with a social purpose focussed on improving outcomes for people with Multiple Sclerosis. Transform MS hosts successful strands of work developed within the University of Plymouth under the leadership of Professor Jeremy Hobart. The scope of work ranges from collaborating with Global Pharmaceutical companies, world leading academic teams, local MS services and charities to support delivery of our social purpose. The CIC model was used as Prof. Hobart’s group has many commercial activities, ambitions for strategic growth and a clear social purpose which were not well served by a University structure.
Aspirations
The primary focus of Transform MS CIC is to use research and innovation activities to improve care of people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS); this is either as a direct outcome of the activities it is involved or through the investment of income generated through its licensing of IP or projects. To support income generation Transform MS will advance its work in Health Measurement Science including the development of new products and services.
