About us
Who we are
TOKKO is an inclusive, values-driven children and young people’s charity located in the heart of Luton town centre developing children & young people’s resilience, skills, independence and knowledge whilst providing healthy opportunities and experiences.
We work to enhance mental health and wellbeing, reduce adolscent risk and improving the lives and aspirations of young people across Luton and the surrounding areas.
We do this by inspiring our young people to develop and find their place in our community through: building self-worth, increasing confidence and self-belief, reducing isolation, developing skills, awareness of choices and options, having a safe space, understanding healthy relationships and feeling not only listened to, but heard.

Our culture and values
OUR VISION is for ‘all young people in Luton to aspire, be happy and be healthy.’
OUR MISSION:
‘We engage, encourage and empower Luton’s young people to aspire, be happy and healthy through an open access, universal and targeted offer.’
Our range of projects and activities aligned to our core values are designed to meet the emerging needs of children and young people as well as tackle complex social issues and inequalities.
CORE VALUES
Our values are the core ethics or principles which TOKKO will abide by no matter what, and our foundation for creating a safe workplace culture. They are authentic, relevant to TOKKO’s work and resonate with the staff team with input from our young people across projects. All staff are expected to live these values throughout their work, conduct and interactions modelling the values and making them the ‘golden thread that runs through all TOKKO’s decisions.
TOKKO’s 6 core values:
SUPPORTIVE, WELCOMING, INCLUSIVE, PROGRESSIVE & TRUSTWORTHY
We believe that every young person matters and should grow up safe and happy, with equal opportunity and access to provisions of support. We offer bespoke support to help them thrive – and step in to help when times get tough.
