Who we are
The objects of the CIO are
(1) to provide and maintain a museum and information service at the Museum or such other buildings;
(2) to advance education for the public benefit and to promote the history of Tiverton and Mid Devon as told through its heritage, landscapes and stories of the people in the area.
Vision: We aspire to share the stories of people and place - past and present of Tiverton and Devon’s heartland.
Our purpose is to maintain a museum to stimulate learning about the history of Tiverton and Mid Devon as told through its heritage, landscapes and stories of the people in the area. By showcasing Mid Devon’s rich heritage, we inspire pride in Mid Devon and play a significant role in place making and place shaping for the local area.
