The Royal Forestry Society (RFS) is one of the longest established and largest education charities in the forestry sector. Our mission is to promote the sound and sustainable management of trees and woods. We do this by:
• Fostering public understanding and awareness of the benefits of actively managing trees and woods.
• Advancing education, research and expert knowledge in all aspects of forestry, arboriculture and allied sciences.
• Inspiring people to bring more woods into management and to manage them to the highest standards.
Our aim is to be recognised and respected for the excellence of our educational work and as the charity of choice for all those with an active interest in the responsible management of trees and woods.
