Who we are

The Retreat, Manchester at Hampden House is a centre of excellence providing psychotherapy to adults experiencing a wide range of personal difficulties. The therapists working at Hampden House are all fully qualified and experienced and are registered either with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), the British Confederation of Psychotherapists (BCP), the United Kingdom Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (UKRCP) or the British Psychological Society (BPS), or are accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). 

These registration bodies establish the highest standards of professional competence and ethical practice and require all registrants to commit to an ongoing process of continuing professional development. All our therapists meet these stringent requirements and have many years of post-qualifying experience.
