About us
Who we are
The Phoenix Way (TPW) is a national partnership of black, brown and racialised organisations created in May 2021 following the implementation of The Phoenix Fund in 2020. The Phoenix Fund responded to the structural inequalities experienced by black, brown and racialised communities and community led organisations in accessing funding revealed during the Covid-19 pandemic.
TPW is a unique grant-making and networking model. In this phase, we are establishing a regional network and programme of support and investment for London and the South East, which will benefit a broad range of organisations within racialised communities. Kanlungan Filipino Consortium is hosting The Phoenix Way London and South East with support from the Ubele Initiative.
Specifically, we are working with communities, groups and organisations to raise and distribute funds to racialised communities, build expertise within our groups and organisations and transform the funding landscape, so that black and minoritised communities own and control our own funding and resources.
