The Mudchute Association

Who we are

Set in 32 acres of countryside in the heart of East London, the Mudchute is a Community Charity with a working Rare Breed Farm, Stables, a range of Childcare Services and an Education Project.  Mudchute is open every day, free of charge to the thousands of visitors it attracts every year.

Mudchute, overseen by an elected Board of Trustees employs over 50 staff, engaged in a range of activities carefully developed to meet the prevailing needs of the communities it serves.

We have consistently and carefully grown since our establishment in the 1970's despite limited Public Funding, relying heavily on grants from Charitable Trusts and Businesses.  The generosity and support of Funders, individual and Corporate Volunteers over the years has helped tremendously in this.
