About us
Who we are
The Meeting Room exists to support vulnerable and socially isolated local people and largely attracts clients from the northern end of Mole Valley (largely Leatherhead, Fetcham, and Bookham) and the Epsom/Ashtead area. We are a well-established charity providing, currently, day-time drop-in lunch clubs, activities and outings, signposting, counselling, and outreach services. No referrals are needed though these are welcome.
We provide support, friendship, and a caring place to meet for vulnerable and socially isolated adults in our local communities, especially those struggling with mental health issues, poverty or loneliness.
The Founder of the charity, Graham Peddie, died in 2021. He gave a huge amount of time and love to the charity and its clients. The current Trustees are now in the process of ensuring that his legacy continues, and that the charity is sustainably and professionally run into the future. As part of this process, they have established the key need for an Operations Manager to assist them in leading the charity forward, in order to care more fully for existing clients and develop relevant and innovative services for new clients.
