Who we are

Following an 8 year campaign, The Margate Caves Community Education Trust (TMCCET) charity secured £1.1m Heritage Lottery and £420,000 Community Fund grants to create a landmark building that includes community facilities with a cafe, shop, community rooms and grden alongside a visitor centre.that provides access to the restored Margate Caves.

The Margate Caves Centre was opened in August 2019 and, when not affected by Covid-19 restrictions, has welocmed over 45,000 visitors since opening.We pride ourselves on bieng embedded in our local community and a warm and welcoming place to visit, use and work.
