About us

Who we are

The King’s Centre was formerly the home of Oxford Instruments who, at this site and others, developed and built the first whole body superconducting MRI magnet (commemorated by an official Blue Plaque, unveiled by the Prime Minister).

In 2002, the property was bought by Oxfordshire Community Churches and currently serves as a base for Oxford Community Church and their associated work within the local community. Since then, the property has continually been developed and upgraded, and now also functions as the largest and most flexible conference and events facility within the heart of Oxford city centre.

The Kings Centre’s purpose is to serve our clients, community and all who come through our doors. Our team strives to create a flexible and relaxing atmosphere so that every event, big or small, feels welcome. All funds from The King’s Centre are re-invested back into the building, the church and surrounding communities. In the past years, we were able to invest in numerous projects, including Edge/Equip, Thrive (Leys Youth Project), Tyndale Community School, The Kings School and Family Fun.

The driving force behind The King’s Centre business is a community of churches who are committed to the spiritual, social and physical well-being of the residents of Oxfordshire and beyond.

When you use The King’s Centre, you are choosing to invest into our community.
