About us
Who we are
The Jermain Defoe Foundation was founded in 2013 by England striker Jermain Defoe to support homeless, vulnerable and abused young people in his family’s home country of St Lucia.
The foundation works closely with the St Lucia government and existing organisations on the island that support and care for young people. This includes the Holy Family Children’s Home in Ciceron which caters for around a dozen children. This is the only dedicated children’s home on the island.
Due to the devastating effects of Hurricane Maria in 2017, the foundation has been working closely with Dominica to raise funds in aid of the Dominica Hurricane Relief.
