Who we are

The Greenhouse is the UK's first zero-waste performance space. We harness the power of performance, storytelling, and entertainment to spark climate-conscious lifestyles. We focus on micro-habits; everyday activities which seem small in isolation, but add up to have a huge impact. We do this by helping people grow their personal, emotional connections with the natural world and with others, while integrating simple, eco-conscious choices into every moment they spend with us.

We deliver our work in three main ways:

Amazing Shows We create, curate, and programme top quality shows that inspire and excite. With a focus on brilliant, engaging stories, our shows invite audiences to reflect on their relationship with the natural world. Our programmes have featured in national and international publications, and have won multiple awards.

Exciting Events We bring people together through our range of events and workshops. From scavenger hunts to environmental training, these build community whilst sharing the skills people need to fight climate change. This helps make wherever we are an exciting “place to be”.

Inspiring Spaces Whether it’s reinvigorating a disused space, or erecting our award-winning zero- waste venue wherever it will fit, we create a broad array of community-focused spaces that help people connect with each other and the natural world around them.

At its heart, no matter where we are, we strive to create incredible places to be – places to spend time with friends, watch amazing art, and have fun. This lets us lead by example, helping audiences understand that mindfulness and small, eco-conscious actions can easily fit into their everyday lives! We are a non-profit, currently registered as a C.I.C, but seeking charity status.
