About us
Who we are
We were originally set up in 2003 as a heritage and environmental regeneration project in the Manor area of Sheffield. The Green Estate team of staff, volunteers and our many partners (including Manor and Castle Development Trust, Sheffield City Council and the University of Sheffield) have turned 42 hectares of derelict land and heritage buildings into a unique, beautiful, and sustainable landscape for people and nature to enjoy today and for generations to come.
We are now a multiple award winning team and place and have become a beacon for place-based urban resilience with an social, economic and environmental impact on our local community and beyond. We were one of the first 15 businesses to receive the prestigious Kings Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development approved personally by the King.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
We are committed to creating an inclusive space where everyone is welcome to take part and thrive, regardless of factors such as ethnicity, disability, socioeconomic background or gender identity.
We have a policy, available on request, for hour to seek to achieve that aim and have robust policies and procedures for deaing with concerns.
