About us
Who we are
The GravityLight Foundation tackles poverty and protects the environment through innovative design. Our first product is GravityLight which has been designed to replace damaging, dangerous and expensive kerosene lamps, used by over 1.1 billion people without electricity. GravityLight is unique – it generates power with the lift of a weight.
Following encouraging international field trials, further improvements to the design and a second successful crowdfunding campaign, we are now working towards the launch of the new GravityLight model, establishing an assembly line in Kenya and partnering extensively to ensure GravityLight reaches as many people as possible in the years ahead.
