Who we are

The Funding Network (TFN) is the UK's live crowdfunding specialist. We are a small, dynamic charity which raises funds and increases the capacity of other small charities working across the spectrum of need in the UK and internationally.

Since 2002, with the support of a deeply committed membership, we have raised over £15m for 2,500 charities from events held in the UK. Donations range from £10 to £10,000. We do this through crowdfunding events at which charity representatives make a short pitch and answer questions from an audience of potential donors who are then invited to contribute funds towards set targets.  Part TED talk, part live auction, TFN’s events have been described as a friendly dragon’s den for charities. We have also supported philanthropy development organisations in over 20 countries to learn and adopt our crowdfunding event model.
