Who we are

We are a new small charity aiming to support, encourage and help develop small community-based voluntary groups, with grants, advice and training to help them become more effective and a greater influence for good in their area. We also act as a networking hub, so they can coordinate with each other more effectively and reach out to local government and other statutory and support agencies in pursuit of their aims. We are especially interested in helping civically-minded people start up their own groups, so bringing about a more broadly-based and powerful civic sector in West London. 

In pursuit of this vision, our charitable objects are:

(a) The promotion of the voluntary sector; and

(b)   The promotion of the efficiency and effectiveness of charities and the effective use of resources for charitable purposes by charities or other organisations by the following means:

•   The donation of funds to charities, voluntary and community entities for development purposes;

•   The provision of marketing, advocacy, educational and other support services to charities, voluntary and community entities;

•   The encouragement and facilitation of coordination and cooperation amongst charities, voluntary and community entities;

•   The encouragement and facilitation of engagement with the broader public by charities, voluntary and community entities; and by

•   Aiding and empowering charities, voluntary and community entities in any way the directors deem fit from time to time, consistent with charity law.

(c)   The advancement of education (including training and research)
