Who we are
The Crediton Heart Project is a new charity working to make life better for everyone living in and around the Mid Devon town of Crediton through 'clicks and bricks'. Our aim is to 'keep the heart in Crediton' as the town expands, preventing it becoming a dormitory town to the nearby city of Exeter.
Last year we launched a popular website to support our community through the pandemic by promoting local businesses and voluntary groups and providing an online space for people to share advice and stories.
Longer term we want to build a multi-purpose community centre with spaces for performance, cinema, meetings and work hubs. We are currently exploring how we adapt our plans to deliver facilities, either temporary or permanent, that will help our community continue to thrive in the Covid area.
With businesses closing and services under huge strain, our work to support the communities in our town and villages will matter more than ever in the coming years.
