Who we are

The Bavubuka (Youth) Foundation, a Ugandan based youth-empowerment organisaiton,   recognize the power of Hip-Hop music and culture as a catalyst of positive social change. Hip-Hop is the contemporary youth’s cultural foundation, and symbolizes the ability of people, living in marginalized communities, to flourish and live their dreams. Our vision is to create peace building platforms which empower and unify young people from diverse communities. In doing so amplifying and creating a powerful awakening of the youth voice in Uganda.

We are dedicated to creating spaces and educational programs that nurture and empower a new generation of young leaders, in Uganda and all of Africa, who will use their voices to communicate positive messages and affect positive change in their communities and the world.  Our young leaders are given opportunities to authentically redesign their communities through peace building practices. We  are encouraging young people to find solutions from within, routed in their reconnection to their indigenous wisdom

We have introduce authentic ideas that have shifted systems economically, politically and socially;

-economically we have created creative capital for young people to progress professionally in photography, videography, fashion, sport, and music

-politically we have influenced youth voice culture through Hip Hop practice, advocating for youth to participate in influential platforms that contribute to fighting corruption

-socially we have established a platform for young leaders not only to be empowered , but to be great advocates for their communities through their creative platforms.

Whether your passion is in emceeing, music, video, photography, journalism, visual art, fashion, dance, agriculture or sport, the Bavubuka Allstarz Foundation is aiming to equip young people with the skills to turn their raw talents into employment opportunities and to create sustainable incomes.  We are aiming to create space that will support the linkage between traditional creative platforms with wider professional fields, which will give opportunity to a new generation of young leaders in Uganda. These emerging leaders will then use their voices and talents to instigate positive change, uniting diverse local and global communities, and aiding in the creation of sustainable livelihood opportunities.
